RRP of new ATI cards?

just wondering what the rrp are for the 5970, 5870 , 5850 and 5770 are.

wondering if worth waiting.

I only know about the 5850 which on release had an rrp of £199 which I thought was very reasonable.

5870 , 5850 are "sell a kidney"

RRP are the prices set by ATi themselves, Overclockers can't complain if those prices are mentioned anyway as that's what it's supposed to be.

I THINK they were supposed to be:

£180 for 5850

£280 for 5870

£400 for 5970

For various reasons, they've gone up, part of the reason is low yields, as well as low availability but high demands.

hmm think ill wait then to get a 5970... as i know as soon as i buy after xmas they will go recommended retails as stocks will go up

400 for 5970..... that's actually reasonable

hopefully 5850s drop to about £150 early next year so I can upgrade to 2 of them on the cheap

I have got my 5970 for 440£, sold my 4870x2 for a 100£ ,the card is worth every bit of 340£ thats for sure, as for OCuk prices however (especially at launch), they really are pathetic. :rolleyes:

To be fair the 5850 and 5870 prices at launch were among the cheapest you could find, add in free next day shipping if you have it and that was the best deal at launch.

Shame they messed up my order (I was one of the lucky ones ordering one of the phantom XFX 5870s)
