Couple of minor alterations and a new binnacle, but you're right it remained essentially the same.

Dash hasn't aged well:
Dash has aged well:
And the difference is kids..... the BMW dash was ahead of its time, the Ford dash was typical 80's Ford I've forgotten how to draw curves.
Its other main problem is the Escort Cosworth, i wonder if thats why one of those costs 15 - 20k now and these cost 50p.
Anybody else really like this? Thought I'd check em out after Clarkson mentioning them on Top Gear yesterday, and there's a lovely black Cosworth Sapphire 4wd for £5k.
Looks mint:

What is todays equivalent though? Scooby, evo?
I'd happily have that were it not the case that the same sort of cash would pick me up an e34 M5, ok one that will need work probably, but no more than an aged Sierra!
The Ford was not hand built either....
So, no I would not.
This looks better thoughExactly, you can buy a Hand Built E34 M5 in good order for 5k, if i wanted an old performance saloon thats what i'd sink my money into.
Indeed, something about the old saloons looks sooo good, I hate all modern saloons though and prefer the hatchesI like that saloon look.
