How are you finding the resistive screen? Anyone like to compare it with the iPhone's screen for responsiveness?
Well its just as responsive Id say, however you need to press a little on the screen so a different experience. I prefer capacitive, however the N900 resistive screen is fantastic, you just need to get used to applying a little pressure, and you are all set.
Yeah i mind of seeing that im just wondering if either you or edgedemon have tried any decent apps or that on it yet. Its the emulators and stuff like that im looking forwards to trying out the most myself. Still thanks for any feedback.
Apps, well I have installed a few -
ecoach, works v well (for Sport/GPS tracking).
Maps - is slow slow slow to load but works fine once open.
Mauku - Using it to edit my blog, does what it says on the tin.
Firefox - a little slow, the inbuilt browser is quick and pretty faultless.
Transmission - Bittorrent client, beautiful - I downloaded a few things over wifi just to test it, it also worked over 3g.
Hermes - I have synced my facebook/twitter info/images to my contacts, works v well.
Chat is so integrated in the phone (MSN, Gmail, Yahoo etc) you dont need a seperate client. The same for video - its played everything I chucked at it.
There arent a massive amount of apps, but its is early days..
Emulators - The only one I have used is the Game Gear/Master System emulator which works very well indeed - I love it. Especially the fact that there are physical buttons on the N900, makes a whole world of a difference for playing games. The arrow keys obviously arent as good as a Dpad, but its usable. Basically I have my old Game gear back - Sonic, hurrah.
Want me to try anything out?
