FORD MONDEO
VAUXHALL VECTRA
AUDI A4
MERCEDES C CLASS
BMW 3 SERIES

There are 2 classes there. Lets play a game and seperate the car into each class shall we :rolleyes:

No not bias as such , Just we are probably the only ones in this thread that have driven more than just the one car mentioned .

The M3 eats me alive after 40 - Yes I just said that cause im not stuck up my own badge that far . Chuck them round the bends and its a different story .

Unless you have driven or been in a ccord type R you point is WORTHLESS and thats the end of that , thank you and have a nice evening and anymore posting your just out for an arguement more than a discussion
 
Thats rather like me saying 'To be honest, my sisters Mazda3 1.6TS could almost outhandle your Type-R and would live with it on the straights' and then when you quite rightly laugh your head off I'd then say well youve not driven it so there.

You dont need to drive an Accord Type-R to know it's not even in the same league as an M3.

I've driven numerous E36 and E46 M3's and been a passenger in two different Accord Type-R's. Can I continue to think that your opinion is utter horse excrement?

My Mondeo 2.0 could have your 330d.

You've never driven a Mondeo 2.0 but I have driven a 330d therefore any point you might have about what I just said is worthless.
 
Lets just look at some nurburg lap times a second:

8:25 Porsche Cayman S

Using those examples can you see what sort of car this is. Look at the CSL, albeit a slightly lighter more powerful tweaked version. But just look at the sort of cars its keeping up with. Porsche 911 gt2's for cryng out loud.

This is not the same category as an Accord trype r
 
Hmm, this thread seems to be getting more posts and covering more topics than your average small tech forum on the site. I vote we turn it into another sub-forum for motors.

I never compaired it to an M3 , Basically you where compairing it to a mondeo and then said the accord was better . Then I said for the same reason that it is compaired to a M3 as its the next thing up as the ATR trashes the ST and Veccy , as compairing it to an evo would be stupid so it was the M3

Every ATR I see these days is being driven by a sideways-baseball-bat-wearing-****tard. It's really hard not to sterotype in these situations.

Well after all, it is in the same class and is probably its closest rival. Given the whole 4 doors, 200ish bhp, mainstream manufacturer thing.

A perfectly valid opinion which would not have been shot down in flames. Being better doesn't put something in a different class though, does it?

For example a 2001 Honda S2000 is a much better car than a 2001 BMW Z3 - but it doesn't mean its in a different class.

Well no, not really. How is it the 'next thing up'? It isnt, is it? The M3 is rather more than simply a high end 3 Series. The next thing up would presumably be a 330i, a car which although I'd take every time over a Type-R I wouldnt laugh at the concept of a Type-R beating around a track.
 
Well thanks for a good evening , Mrlol wanted a replacement thats still compaireable and I offer the suggestion of something better out the box . a lot of posts have been overlooked in this thread since I have joined and while you are going back over them which I hope you do I shall be asleep in the knowledge I have helped the OP this evening where as the most of you have not , Good night
