Ozzy Osbourne I spose, and Gabriella Cilmi, and any one of a number of rappers. (And I'm not saying they are unintelligent, just that they sound it). It's not really the point though. I don't really know how intelligent most singers are because, after the goldfish bowl of the X-factor, we don't really hear them talk very much. Also, in Stacey's case I think hearing her talking voice just makes her singing voice all the more impressive.

I often think that, too. I think the main problem is that she takes a breath of air in after every sentence.
I think Joe is a great singer. The impression that we are getting from the judges is that he is a model professional, behind the scenes and just does what he is told without throwing any strops. They keep commenting on his professionalism.
Obviously Joe will look to work in live musicals, but as a star in his own right, selling records under how own name (and not as part of a band or musical) - I think he would struggle. I think Joe has a very big future ahead of him and could well be a massive live/musical singer. Also notice that he is always confident and doesnt burst out into tears like most of the other contestants.
Its more that G.Michael is actually quite tall. It doesnt help that GM has put on the pounds in the last few years, which added to his height makes everyone else look very small.

So why have they let a man on who has admitted he "only" smokes 7 joints a day. Great news George that you've cut down your illegal habit from 25 joints a day.

I think most pop stars have "habits". Even Robbie Williams who was on earlier admitted that he had a serious drug and alcohol addiction. In fact, it was so bad for him that he wasn't working for a long long time, while he was having his problems with addiction. I don't think GM ever had such a serious problem. His problem was that he got caught, so the press really picked up on this and hyped it out of all proportion.
If he was in touch with his feminine side, he would by crying at every opportunity like the contestants from previous series. I remember when they had Pop Stars the Rivals - those men were cry babies - cyring at every opportunity, almost like they were being paid by the tear.
Actually, a point of note is that none of the contestants have cried yet. Cheryl Cole has been the only one so far who has been on the verge of crying.
