Also, quite mean of Valve to give the demo his updates early and not the soldier, I can see many people turning traitor and trying out the demo, I know I'm tempted, those weapons sound cool.

Probably because the demo is currently trailing, they want to try and keep it close



What I still hate is that I never get any weapon or hats drops, NEVER!

But the weapons aren't available yet, are they?

They'll all be available at the same time, Demo & Soldier, whenever the war is "over" and everything is announced...won't they?

Also, the whiskey idea is quite cool but the sword replaces the bottle so surely the unannounced weapon will be something to replace the primary launcher?

Not necessarily, the sniper has two replacements for the autogun

Hmmm, probably. But bear in mind the spy only had his revolver replaced and got two cloak devices. Same sapper (secondary) and knife (melee) items. So the demo could get two melee weapons. Plus the mystery weapon ;)

Not as if the solider needed it really, but that weapon sounds like it will raise the skill ceiling of the class somewhat. Although it doesn't sound like you would have to play radically different with it, the better more accurate solider players will do better with it. That's quite a speed increase as well, so it should be easier to pull off great looking air shots. :D

Don't play on the saigns.de servers, they're modded to high heaven! Good for a blast, but not for learning the game

Link and Frenchie have a server too, need to arrange some festive frags on it :)
 
GTFO and UKMD can be awesome, and can be crap, depends what the people on at the time are like

They get a lot of regulars, and are usually populated
