rage against the x-factor - Outcome: RATM is the Christmas Number One!

The last time I said "I'll eat my poo if....", I was wrong, and had to eat my poo.

So, if RATM actually get to no.1, I'll eat my poo. It's never going to happen.

I have an IQ of 154 I bought them with different accounts.

The new Zac Effron wins. :D

Simon C must be laughing his **** off.

A caveman I see. Well I have an IQ of 155 and an internet RAGE multiplier of 42. I guess that means I win this internet battle of epic proportions.

Will be buying the single tonight and as it happens Renegades too as I don't have that awesome album on CD :D

I just made 35p from this!

The people that work at one of my local HMV have hidden the shipment and have reported the cargo as lost, one of my friends said that'll give them perhaps another day or two (probably a day) before regional management get involved and fix it. :D fight the power! I imagine this might happen elsewhere, the guys that work at music stores generally appreciate music.

Well I suppose thats one way to get fired :p.

Errr, if you value your friend's job you probably shouldn't go around broadcasting stuff like that.

Personally I'm against using any underhanded tactics, but common sense dictates that if you try and pull off anything shady, you should keep it on the DL ;)

Hmm.. as much as I can't stand X Factor and the way it has become more so than ever a money making scheme by Simon Cowell. The Killing in the name song by RATM sounds 10x worse than Joe Mcelderry's song.

That's your opinion and you have every right to like bland covers of some 16 year old bint made famous by Disney.

Lets go back to basics: If you are going to boycott X factor then at least do it with a song that could be seen as mainstream and almost pop, not some grunge crap.

First of all, it's not grunge. Secondly, why does it have to be the same genre?

Just what i posted on my facebook

"keep on buying the rage single! whoever wins the xfactor doesnt always 'deserve' to be christmas number one regardless of all the other top 40 entries in past few weeks/months(after all everyone forgets about it in a few weeks anyway!), if all these other songs were as well advertised on TV as the xfactor finalist.... im sure they wouldnt have trouble beating it to the No.1 spot!"

No.1 at the moment it is.

Its not really the fact that this song is SO MUCH BETTER than all the others is just proving a POINT that an xfactor song doesn't have to be No.1 year after, year, after year, after year... you get the idea!

And all the money that is spent on producing the Xfactor and getting millions of people to watch just to be entertained so that they can vote their favouritist singer is not really comparable to all the other entries that are in the Top 40! Why should the charts be controlled by a tv program when their are plenty of new entries before the official No.1 is announced.

I can understand why so many people would vote because they like this particular song but that really only stems from making a tv program and not pitting musical talent against one another.

I could morth into simon cowell tomorrow, brain wash you all and convince you that XYZ person is the next best thing since sliced bread and make you buy the christmas No.1 just because i said so, and because you enjoy the tv show, without giving regard to all the other acts that could be musically superior but just havent been giving the chance because they havent appeared on Xfactor.

Ooh look its the (for example) lady gagas new single which every club/bar/pub plays... young and old dance to it and everyone loves to listen to it butt.... it wasnt on xfactor so that means we cant buy it as we already spent our 99p buying the song that beat x number of amateur singers rather than the whole of the top 40 artists!!

grrr it just makes me so mad, i wonder in a perfect world, if you released this joe single without x factor being involved would he even come close to No1!?

That's not the reason I bought the RATM song it's because ITV stands to make 75 million from the series and they couldn't even be bothered to produce a new song for the final.

The UK has a wealth of songwriting talent yet the winning song is a disney cover. They've had a year to produce something decent.

Come on that just shows the contempt Cowell et al. have not only for the show and its winner but for the public in general. The fact that it is already 2nd in the charts and that other X-factor entity Cole is number 6 speaks volumes for the direction the UK is heading.

However it's not the fault of good bands in the UK of which there are 1000s. Why hasn't anyone tried to create a TV version of battle of the bands, groups singing their own songs each week. It's one I would watch the could even keep the x-factor format.

All girl bands, all boy bands, mixed, over 25s etc.
