***Official Assassin's Creed II Thread***

Right, completed the game, very odd indeed. Bring on AC3!

Got all viewpoints, now to collect everything else. Got all treasure maps (jesus, venice has TONS of treasure, going to take me a while :()

My Villa is 100% pimped out, just need paintings and that its.

OMG been too absorbed by Aion recently and completely forgot about this game until I saw it on the shelf in ASDA today! (I know the shame of Asda)...it looks immense ...gonna play it right now wooo

The glyphs are worth picking up, feathers are only really for achievements/trophies, they net you a weapon and a cape but neither are that exciting. I couldn't be bothered as you would need the patience of a saint to find them all without a guide. At least finding all of the glyphs is do-able by yourself.

That said, I had to cheat for one of the puzzles, for the life of me the only number I could see was a 1 but apparently there was a 4 somewhere. Even when I knew what I was looking for I couldn't find it!

Great game though, the last target fight was a bit of a letdown but otherwise I really enjoyed it :) Time to trade it in now though, still don't have Forza, should I get that next? (Already got MW2 but tired of that as I can't play MP in New Zealand due to >500ms ping)

Just started this and I've left the first area to go to the villa. I take I go back at some point to explore the rest of the area?

When you complete the game can you still wrap up all the side missions etc?

Yeah, later on you can go back :) you can go back and do the side missions, find the hidden items, etc after finishing the game so no worries there.

Thanks Ricky, I will just follow the story for now then and do everything apart from feather finding at a later date :)

I'm liking it better than the last one that's for sure, combat is still Ubisoft crap but atleast the story is much more interesting and not as repetitive.

It's worth collecting the glyphs whilst you are playing through as it will add to the story when you complete the video. You'll also need to collect all the codex pages to get to the end of the story.

Urgh! I nearly completed the first one yesterday at 1am, but I got tired and couldn't fight the last hord of templars off! So hopefully I can finally start the second one tomorrow :)

Have a look on your map and you should see icons that resemble a flat piece of paper which at the ends are kinda rolled...some are at street level and some are higher up ie on buildings etc so you have to do a bit of climbing. If nothing like that shows up then im pretty sure you arent far into the game where it tells you where they and what they look like.

What i normally do is find a poster take it down then run around for a few mins...go back to the area i found the poster and take it down again...rinse and repeat.

How do you quick load a checkpoint? I'm doing an assassins tomb, which is a right Pita to get to the top. I'm near the top it's checkpointed, I fall but don't die. I don't fancy the climb all over again so have to quit game then restart.

Any quicker way?

I'd like to know that, I reckon I'm in the exact same tomb as you - I fell near the end but after a checkpoint but I just rage quit hoping next time I load the game up I'm back up the top at the checkpoint :p

I've just gone onto the next area, I don't know how people are saying this isn't as repetitive as the first. View point, assassination missions, beat up missions, courier, next view point rinse and repeat. I'm not sure I f you have to do them all or not to get unlocks and develope the story?

No just get your reactions timed right;)...i did 3 of them without any major hassle once i figured out where i needed to go.

Well its as repetitive as the first one but with a bit more substance than the original one...new weapons, new moves etc etc. Hasnt bored me like the last one, which after awhile got a bit too much so ended up just trying to finish the game up asap...this one im quite enjoying taking my time and making sure im getting everything done the first time although ill probably have to go back and finish off a few of the things i have missed out ie feathers etc.

See the new moves don't make much difference to me in combat, because the fastest way to kill is still RT and counter with a kill move.

I think I will just follow the story now instead of any sides as they have gotten dull fast.

Official Assassins Creed II Thread

I was absolutely in LOVE with Assassins Creed for PC, but not sure if I can wait 6 months?

If I really have the itch after Christmas then Ill probably end up picking it up for 360.

Its a shame that all these games I was going to buy for PC are now being brought for my 360.
Ugh.

Really want this game but got to many going on at the moment but just a head's up to any of you who may read the Assassin's Creed - Renaissance book is superb.
