rage against the x-factor - Outcome: RATM is the Christmas Number One!

I suppose you're on the 'Mean' train along with Cole? Awww, bless his little cotton socks.

As I say, I couldn't have given a monkey's to who was No1 this Christmas until this 'campaign' started. I've quite honestly got more important things to worry about than this campaign. I'm just surprised others haven't as well!

Yes, and I'm sure 'charity' was your first thought when you bought the song!

Personally, if I want to give to charity, I do it a different way. You've done nothing mnore than fill Cowell's pockets twice over!

Shoo, go on, get! *hits with rolled up newspaper*

And Simon cowell is nothing to do with RATM, none of the money goes to him if you buy it.

Yes cos all ive done since this campaign started is follow it religiously, i havent worked, slept or eaten since it begun, im sitting in my own filth as i type.

It took 2minutes to download my copies. Ive done my bit, im now just interested to see if it gets to number 1. Im not fretting over wheter it will reach the top or not.

Then kindly don't let the proverbial door hit you on the way out.

KTHNXBYE.

You're just a bunch of jealous, spiteful and bitter people!

Jealous of what? Just bored of having dull, bland covers of dull, bland songs being played on repeat.

I've heard that bloody song about 20 times in the last two days against my will, at least a song I like will get a few plays too :p

Going from you're last couple of posts, evidently you don't ;)

How exactly? he doesnt own the record company, he doesnt get a share of RATM's sales. I cant see why you want to stick up for a bunch of karaoke singing saps who'll be forgotten about within months .

Clearly you do care, considering you;

can't wait to laugh at all you mugs/sheep when the X Factor single is No1 on Sunday.

I bet you can't wait to unwrap that Simon Cowell endorsed codpiece on christmas day can you, go on, admit it!??! :p

You mean the one quoted as saying I'm not taking this personally?

The same one who has demonstrated that he's under the assumption that he should get the number one by default?

Is that not wrong? Why should he get it by default?

Joe's made it personal, he thinks it's an "attack" at him, showing his ego a bit I reckon.

Simon, Cheryl and Louis all think the same, that he should get the number one by default too!

It's just a huge joke. Getting the number one hasn't got anything to do with the X-factor, but now the winners just assume it's part of the competition, the fact that he thinks "oh, I might not get it now due to the RATM campaign" says it all.

If he doesn't get the number one, what does that mean? It means good music has triumphed, if he's worth anything as a singer and genuinely does have talent, then not getting the Christmas number one isn't going to soil his career like people are saying.

If he's got the talent, he'll be successful, if he isn't successful, it's because he's not appealing as a music artist.

why is channel 4 the only one to say this? why do people seem to think Simon is emperor of sony?

Exactly. Why on earth do they think it's his right to get to Xmas no.1? The whole thing is pathetic, as is the need to start a campaign to show it for what it is.

What i also dont get is the fact that he will still sell a buttload of records, he just might not be number 1. If there had been no campaign he would have got to number one, maybe with even less sales as xfactor fans would have nothing to compete against.

I dont hate this "Joe" character. I never watch X-Factor or the read the red top's so X-factor doesn't infiltrate my life too much.

The limited songs I have heard from the last 5 winners I simply cannot disguinish anything between them.

True talent can be told apart e.g. Elvis, The beatles, Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Elton John, 2pac, Michael Jackson, Oasis, Blur, etc etc.

All of those artists added something to culture/music; they made a real impact and changed music.

X-Factor winners do not. They are good for a flash in the pan 6 month run and nothing more. I don't hate them but I do hate the X-Factor machine. X-Factor winners aren't the issue it's the music companies.

Fixed!

Jay-Z and talent don't belong together in the same sentence.

You are an absolute fool if you can't see Jay-Z's contribution to music and his success. 100%.

Ah right, I forgot conflicting opinions didn't count on this forum.

Jay-Z disgusts me, the sound of his voice, his lyrics and the themes of his "Music" all make me cringe.

Am I not entitled to hold that opinion because you disagree?

Lucky you don't have so much to do that you've got time to come on here and comment repeatedly about the 'sheep' buying RATM... so lucky...

No, as your opinion is on the music, rather than his obvious talent. Anyone who claims someone with a contribution such as his lacks talent isn't worthy of me hearing their opinion as far as I'm concerned.

Right, except I don't think Jay-Z had talent, I've listened to him, his lyrics and things he's made, and it makes me cringe.

Talent IS subjective you know?

What's this "contribution" you talk of? The the type of music he makes? Again, I can't stand his type of music, I think it's junk.

:)

I'm full of admiration for the man personally. He puts on a great entertainment show that, whether you like it or not, LOTS of people thoroughly enjoy. He gives young talented people (talent isn't just the ability to play an instrument) an opportunity that the music industry has failed to give them and he makes money from it. He's a very clever man.

All this publicity from this 'campaign' is doing him no harm either. Do you think X Factor fans have sat on their backsides and not bought more copies of the single that they were initially going to? The X Factor single has most likely sold more than they thought because of this 'brilliantly' worked out campaign.

All this BS about 'F you, we won't do what you tell us!' blah , blah, blah. You've done just what Mr and Mrs Morter have told you to do though haven't you?
