Swearing not allowed mate.

This guy speaks the truth even if he is a little OTT . His language is a little colourful but nothing you have not heard on TV before ;) Would not like to get on the wrong side of him in any MP match however

Before I start, I buy all my games and I can take photos of the boxes to prove it if you want. ;) I know this debate has been done to death but I completly agree with him. I guess I've been lucky as I've only had the problem with one game, but if I didn't know much about computers (lets face it most gamers don't) then I wouldn't have got it working. It should just work out of the box for everyone and that's it. The only copy protection that works is Steam style activation, but even that can be a bit of an annoyance sometimes.

Regardless, you know there's a problem when the pirated versions of games provide a smoother and easier experience.

It's only legitimate buyers that actually have to put up with copy protection problems.

Same way you only see those "PIRACY IS A CRIME, YOU THIEF" advertisements on retail movies.

About 5:50, when he's rotating the camera back to the screen from his face, there's a bit of a hole in the wall - possibly not the first time he's got ****ed off? He makes a valid point, but I wouldn't wanna be known to associate with him.

Yep, i'd love to sit down and speak with the people who put the DRM on these PC games. Honestly, there are developers who publically cry about pirates on PC games, yet are always the developers with the terrible DRM.

If you don't want people to pirate your games, stop making it almost a must! Like he said, the copy protection on some can sometimes make the game useless to you depending on your setup, and you can be a 100% legit customer. You know there is something wrong when the cracked version works better than the official one.

DRM only ever hurts the legitimate consumer, pirates simply bypass it and ironically end up with the better experience, i've been saying this for months now.

haha that was quality, some very valid points. Developers should watch this and pay attention to what is being said :p

As much as I hate copy protection that hurts the innocent customer I'm prepared to suffer it if it'll stop developers from leaving the PC platform. If you walk into any of the highstreet chains there's very little shelf space left for the PC, we're getting into the realm of having no games to complain about.

Can't say that I never felt similar to this guy.

So much that nowadays I buy most of my games trough steam, having to fork out a hefty premium for the pleasure of not even getting a box yet at least it works.

I have never had any problems with DRM as I always download a no CD patch for everything I get retail, and no I do not download the whole game just the no CD file to save me messing about with CD/DVD discs and from having a fit like the guy in the video. like he says DRM is about as effective as a chocolate teapot.
I think Steam although not perfect is the way to go

You're not the only one who has been saying it. :)

Of course those companies who use DRM aren't too intelligent. I think that serial keys (and online checks for duplications) was a good idea. Beyond that though, copy protection has gone too far.

Anyone else getting a craving to play FEAR now? :D
