Umm, that's what the other guy said too? He just included the return of the stake.
No, he seemed to think putting £1000 down on 100/1 would yield a £101,000 return. He just appeared to be adding numbers on to the end of "100/1".

He has been offered tons of money and opportunities on the condition that, for a while at least, he is a puppet.
I'd take the offer. Would you seriously not?

1. I guarantee you the X-Factor contract is full of clauses granting control over his media image. I imagine he was told pretty much what to say, but may have over-egg'd it a little. That's no surprise - he's young and has been in the spotlight 10 minutes.1. I HIGHLY doubt anyone told him to say what he did.
2. Common sense plays a part in such matters. He has done himself no favours, as shown in this thread. If someone told me to say that, no I wouldn't. It's clear it'll just stir things up in the oppositions favour.
I'm clearly not well versed in the ethics of the music industry, but young Joe is not a megastar. He has talent that he has the opportunity to utilise in such a way that will never come along again. I imagine the balanced ethics of what to say have barely graced his mind, and to criticise him for being caught up in the hype when world famous individuals are around him and trying to guide him, in my opinion, is unfair.No.
I've only been on the lower rungs of music for the last 39 years but no one has ever heard me **** off local rivals - it's unethical.

2. Congratulations - you have fantastic moral fibre. However, in this case, it could have lost you a fortune. He has taken the option that grants him endless opportunity for the sake of saying and doing a few things he may or may not agree with.
We should start one next year, push an Iron Maiden song to number 1. That would be awesome, Iron Maiden Christmas number 1.
I can just picture it now.
I'm waiting in my cold cell, when the bell begins to chime....
reflecting on my past life and it doesn't have much time....

You sir have sublime thoughts. However I fear I may be the only person to agree with you![]()
Not so good sir! Big fan of Maiden here![]()
I also assume that the world isn't going to end tomorrow. There's no proof, but, you know, it's a pretty safe guess.I now believe fully that he is obliged to blow Simon Cowell in the back of a limo. It must be true because I believe it is. No evidence required, an assumption will do.
