rage against the x-factor - Outcome: RATM is the Christmas Number One!

I hope this wont ruin your xmas, to the people that bought the single.

Why would it? Come off it.

I'd hazard that most of us would be very pleased to defeat the X Factor Christmas number 1 attempt, but would very easily shrug off a failure. After all, I doubt many of us have spent more than £2 on this.

To begin with, please don't make multiple accounts with this, there's no reason why all 850,000 can't create one account and the charts company cant hassle us about bulk buying!

If you don't have a Credit Card and want to support Rage for free, there's still a way and I have confirmed with the Charts Company that its eligible!*

1) Go to http://www.nokiamusic.co.uk/ Download and install the player on the main page insuring you select UK when it gives you the setup options!

2) Open the program and click "Join Now", Click "Join Nokia Music", fill out the details to create the account (No credit card details are needed)

4) Go to the main Store page and to the left you will see a box that says "Redeem Pin" Click on "Continue"

5) Enter ONE random of these codes, doesn't matter which one! Each one will give you £4 free credit and that's all you need to buy all 5 versions of the song, you can get up to £16 worth if you use all the codes, but please don't as Nokia may pull it if its abused!

6) Search for: Rage Against The Machine - Killing in the name of

7) Click the Orange down arrow next to each of the songs, then click the blue tick.

Congratulations you have just contributed [=

Thanks to the others who found this method! Now lets spread the word!

*I rang The Official UK Charts Company to see if tracks bought from Nokia Ovi Player are still eligible for the UK top 40 singles chart. They confirmed that they are as long as its bought with a UK account!

Cheers for this :D

Well - less than a packet of fags anyway

Tom Morello has just posted on his Twitter that purchases from itunes count right through until 6pm tomorrow afternoon...

BUT WAIT!!! IT AIN'T OVER! We have learned that buying downloads from iTunes influences Top 10 until Sunday 6pm!! Lord have mercy.

One thing I'm disappointed about is that people can rally round so astonishingly to try to get RATM to number 1 but don't turn up to vote at the local elections. We should think of the BNP as X-Factor in future, maybe that'll help!

This isn't really relevant, but if i had the vote i may will withhold it too. There are no political parties with even a glimmer of a hope of getting elected that are respectable enough to want something other than to simply be in power, and stay in power.

But that takes a lot more effort though.....(unless there is internet voting?).

Just having a look at previous winners, I stumbled across a bit of nostalgia in the form of Nizlopi - JCB Song. Debuted at number one the week before the Christmas week back in 2005 and had potential to become Christmas number one, only for X Factor winner Shayne Ward to come and seize the top spot.

Does anyone else remember this? A song that truly deserved the Christmas number one spot...

I saw Nizlopi live a few years ago. Absolutely awesome live set. Their double bassist / human beatboxer is fantastic.

Yes I know, and I agree, however someone obviously has to win a seat, and I would rather even go pot luck on any of the other parties than have a BNP member of parliament.

I seem to have steered this thread off topic :p Rage f.t.w!

Why RATM won't win: they have no physical release, X Factor dude does. We shifted so much today and we're just a small HMV in a huge shopping centre. RATM won't win. The numbers don't add up.
