Who was a 90's kid and remembers Streets of Rage II etc...:D

Just got this and can't wait for some retro action with the kids in my cinema room on the projector.:D

I bet the soundtrack will do my nut in!:p

my bet is that the kids will complain on how crap the game is and looks and will demand to play uncharted or L4D or something :p

I do love Streets of Rage though :)

Streets of Rage is still one of my favourite games :)

Most of the retro games have aged badly though and makes you wonder why you used to enjoy them in the first place IMO

i find that the 16bit games are still enjoyable but when i go back to the 32bit 3D graphics they are a horrible mess of bad textures and pixelation :p

I recently got this for the 360. I used to love streets of rage 3 , golden axe etc but the games arent as great as the memories. You realise how frustrating they can actually be and that todays games are a lot more intricate. Good for a little trip down memory lane though. :)

Brought this myself when it first came out, loving the retro games but Sonic CD would have been nice to have on there.

Indeed. The only game that makes me curse more than sonic the hedgehog is crash bandicoot on psx.

Some of todays games are a lot easier!

True - not many current games do 1 hit kills or attacks which you cant retaliate counter or break - In SOR1 its annoying getting pummelled without much response (except the cop car mortar) but Iguess they fixed that for 2 and 3 :) Pretty quick 1000gs for xbox too :)

Alex kidd is a perfect example for one hit kills and remember back then we couldnt save. Once the game is over........it is over, no continues, no checkpoints, no nothing.

I got this on release, and I have to say that it's simply excellent. I do keep meaning to play through all of the Phantasy Star series finally, as I missed them back in the day...

The biggest disappointment of this collection for me is the fact that you cannot 'Lock-On' to Sonic & Knuckles, which means no Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Fortunately I've got a couple of Mega Drives kicking about and both the carts, so I still play it on occasion...

got it for the wife a few months back on ps3 and she loves it, personally i prefer the 16bit generation it on psp as the screen size works better for me.

also with the save function it offers it makes games like sonic and golden axe a lot more enjoyable.

Also having comix zone in the package is ace, i never had it when i had my megadrive but its a great game with a great concept. Id love to see a HD 2.5D remake.

I still have PGA Tour Golf and Joe Montana Football here. Primitive as they look, the gameplay itself still stands the test of time. :)
