Hello!

As the title says, I'm out looking for at new computer, since my laptop is nearly 2 years old, and not that fast anymore.
You might notice that my english is not perfect, this is due to that I'm not from an english speaking country, but from Denmark :)

So, here are my demands;

-> It may not cost over 1000 £ (OS excluded)
-> The gfx card has to be ATI, have had a look at 5870, which seems nice :)
-> It has to be a "gamer" computer, and with silent fans
-> It needs to be able to be sent to my adress in Denmark, haven't been able to find out wether you're able to ship it to me or not.

The games I will be running:

-> Counter Strike Source
-> Left 4 Dead 2
-> Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
-> World Of Warcraft
-> Warcraft

I expect these games to run with high quality and with high fps :)

Thanks for helping me out!
If you need more info, then just ask :)

Kind regards
Niclas

Uhmmm keyboard and mouse - no.
Monitor... Well I do have my old 4:3 Ibm monitor :P flatscreen!! :)
I think that'll do it for now, unless you find me a real good cheap one.

Hmm those are ok sulotions, maby I would buy the monitor, but.
As I said I would prefer an ATI cards since it will be Direct 11 upgradeable.

You can run these games on a pc for around £500.

Yes, I'm sure you're right but I also want a pc that does not need to be upgraded soon.
At the least I would want to processer and the gfx to be of a very high standard.
That's why I mentioned the ATI 5870, but I don't realy know if the amd processor or the intel i5/i7 would be the best?
+ It's nice to have something that you can show of for your buddies :P

And you never answered my "second" question, are overclocker.co.uk able to ship the goods to Denmark? :)
Thanks.

Yeah, well I don't know about the fans, I've just been looking on different machines with the Silent fans so I think that Robert is right.

Nope, I have found out that this site, and maby others a cheaper. We're talking... like 10-15 % here.

And you still did not answer :P Is it possible?

Fractal Design "Silent Series" is a full range of silent case fans. The fans has been specifically developed to deliver sufficient airflow and still keep a low noise level.

- Noise Level: 12 dBA

I believe ocuk will ship wherever you like, but we're not the shop so can't really say. Send a webnote, or just try to buy something and see if the option to send to you comes up.

you don't need a pc that costs anywhere near 1000 pounds to run those games. You could get a 400 quid pc that runs them great.

As said above,you dont need to spend 1000 to play those games at max settings but here you go,and this should be very quiet.

As others have said a £1000 setup would be overkill for those games cs:s is several years old now and the rest aren't that demanding. You can have a pretty quiet set up using fans, especially if you slow them down a lot with resistors or controllers or some sort, but with your budget you could get some water cooling to help keep the noise down, full water cooling setups are a bit tricky to set up but there are easier options like the Corsair H50.
