older ps3 games to pick up

hey all and happy new year!

Before the xmas period i had a splurge of completing games. I managed to get uncharted, LBP, mgs4 and fallout 3 completed so i now have them plus a couple of other games to trade in so any ideas of games i may of missed.

I think the one that keeps popping up when im looking is infamous and id also like to get resistance as ive never played either of the 2.

Im in no rush to get them but i think ill try pick them up now while the sales are on.

Im currently playing through; dragon age:origins, MW2, fifa10, Ferarri Challenge, Uncharted 2 and tekken 6.
 
If Batman: AA or Uncharted hadnt turned up last year (gulp) then inFamous would have been my number 1. Its one of those hard to put down games where the next objective is just in sight - 2 hours later youre still playing it :p

To name a few -

Valkyria Chronicles
Heavenly Sword
Killzone 2

I have about 45 PS3 games and I'm away at the moment posting on my laptop so I will update this post tomorrow if there's any I have that I have missed, memory has gone blank :p

Infamous and Resistance 2 as said, are both very good!

ive thought about heavenly sword for some time, i tried and enjoyed the demo but for some reason have never picked it up.

i think ill add InFamous to that list also if i can pick it up cheap enough, not sure what it goes for preowned at the present time.

Killzone 2 and batman: AA ill look into also as ive heard a lot of good reviews of them but i thought they were both relativly new so still quite pricey.

as for Valkyria Chronicles i tried the demo and im not a fan of turn based tactical combat, this is the same reason im avoiding picking up disega3 although it looks like a fun game.

The demo doesn't give the full picture of the game at all.

It's a truly fantastic title, worth playing even if you're not into the genre imo. :)
 
what else does it add?

maybe its the way i percived the demo but it made it seem more like a FF:Tactics game then any other sort as there was very little in the demo other then a turn based battle.

Killzone 2 & Infamous are now in the platnium range so should be sub £15, but Batman i still aorund the £20 mark.

Other suggestions: Folklore, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Rachet & Clank TOD.
 
I recently got a Ps3 ( less than a week ago) i got with mine Uncharted 2 as i had already done the first last year, Resistance 1 & 2 , Killzone 2(excellent game so far), Infamous, time shift and Mgs4.

Loving it so far for some reason i enjoy playing console games more than pc i don't know why atm, i only sold my original Ps3 over a year ago as there was very little in games.

i didnt realise they were in the platinum range if thats the case i should be able to pick them up cheap enough anywhere, as for batman AA ive read around and it looks like a great game so ill get the demo when i get home from work and give that a try.

1, InFamous
2, Heavenly Sword or Killzone 2
3, Batman AA

I may look at Ratchet and Clank also as i havent played a fun platformer in a while

now to check the bank and pop into town either later today after work or tomorrow/monday.
 
hehe i just bought 3 days ago MGS and heavenly sword aswell as uncharted 2.

yesterday i ordered GOD OF WAR collection :D and today i just bought 4 more games

Ninja gaiden 1 and 2 aswell as killzone 2 and haze :)

and im planning on buying on the 8th another new game lol
 
I got God of War collection as a crimbo present and love it!

can be had for about £30 from Axelmusic

I've only got LBP and Killzone 2 as well so can't really recommend anymore.
 
i justgot killzone 2 other day great game so far but decided to start playing on hardest difficulty and its verry difficult :( good graphics but aiming is annoying :S

Your in for some pain playing on elite difficulty, especially the end level :(

I can predict the future, there's going to be a broken controller in your house very soon :D
 
Killzone 2 is a great game but the graphics are not as good as i thought they would be, lots of blurry textures through out.

Can't agree more with the aiming system. It was horrendous in the demo but they did overhaul it 3 times but it still sucks.
