The script is full of holes
The lead character is pap -Leeson miscast
The narrative doesn't work
But hey thats just my opinion.
Film of 2008 perhaps
Film of nothing more like.
I couldn't stop laughing when watching it it was that bad!

this thread shows the reason why i've pretty much abandoned the cinema..
what a terrible year for films in general. wow i can't even find something that stood out at all to me, I'm even considering choosing UP.

You should go watch Man on Fire, that's like Taken but much much better.
It would also help it Taken was released in 2009, which it was but only in America.

If Gran Torino is 2009 then I vote that over Taken.
The Time Travelers wife was good too - of course not better than the book though

The Hangover.
Star Trek.
The Hurt Locker.
Public Enemies.
Bronson.
If you forced me to pick out of those films (which I feel is a decent collection of the best films this year) I'd probably go for Watchmen or Moon. I'd like to give a big nod to District 9, for well been outstanding.

Gran Torino / Taken are both 2008, Gran Torino and Taken were both released in the US in early 2009 though, The Wrestler was very early 2009.
