It's snowing

Its snowing really heavy here in Rossendale. Ive never seen flakes so big.

Its strange, when i drove over to Bolton yesterday there was hardly any snow compared to where i live. Looks like loads has come down overnight.

Nothing in Reading yet :( I woke up late for work and do NOT want to ride lol, so getting a lift with my sis, in the TT :D

Yeah it has. The car park near my flat was like and ice rink yesterday (no joking it was ALL ice). and now it has been covered in snow. Can't get my car out.

Manchester is on shutdown now it seems. Busses have been cancelled and the M60 ringroad is a carpark :p

Just measured the snow on top of the bin and its just under 9 inches now... with BIG flaky snow falling now heavily :D

1mm3 ^ that's almost identical to how it is here, but I suppose you are only around the corner in Bolton. There's nothing you can do in that, like I said everyone in my street who has so far even tried to drive, has failed miserably.

I am trying to ring into work but it's engaged and has been for 20 mins. I am pretty sure all public transport in Manchester will not be operating today, and most schools/colleges will be shut.

Woke up to a fresh covering of snow from overnight and then at 7am it started hammering it down and still is, Stoke has lots! :D

Sat laughing at Radio 1, somebody from Salford saying there snowed in with 7-8 inches, god sake. Just annoys me how pathetic people can be.

we got bout 3 inches in wigan, i cant get my car out so im now at my pc with heater on nice and cosy :)

I was driving to college absolutely fine, then hear on the radio that it's closed. So I turn round and when going up the hill my road is on, fail miserably. Now I've had to abandon my car at the side of the road
View from outside my gate this morning.

Ok so we had 6-8inches of snow here in Bolton last night, couldnt get my car out of my driveway and local roads have not been gritted..

So i cancel my morning at work thinking maybe itll get better by afternoon/ the council will grit the roads and then..

Pic2

Starts snowing again :( Patient arent gonna be best pleased! (I'm a dentist)

Where abouts in Bolton do you live? I'm in Ainsworth and it's looking much the same here too.

Probably depends on your definition of snowed in :p i assume they mean they cant drive anywhere, where as real snowing in means you cant leave the bloody house :p

Went out and defrosted the car, walked the dogs, had a brew, then it snowed and my windscreen froze again :(

Pathetic? I'm in Salford and to be honest the people driving around on the roads this morning are idiotic - the vast majority of them have little to no control over their vehicles. I've seen vans wildly fishtailing across the road. Cars sliding into one another on roads with next to no incline. There are places where nearly 12 inches of snow has piled up - does this sound like a normal winters day?

The trams are all cancelled.
Most of the busses are cancelled.
The internation airport is closed.

Whats your problem?
