Budget 900 quid, including OS, wont be overclocking at the moment, but wondering if I should put a different heatsink on now for when I do OC?

Are you 100% desperate for the Phenom 965? The i5 outperforms it in every way.

It doesn't. And from what I've seen because of the 'turbo' feature it uses it's unpredictable of how it will perform in various tasks. That coupled with the fact that the 965 out-performs i7 at times and AMD's boards will be backwards compatible for 6 cores makes it a winner for me.

Looks like a very good spec to me although I would get this Psu - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-022-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084
Very good warrenty (7 years) and a quality make.

Well it's paying more for 100W less and the Antec gets great write-ups.

Also, you could consider going for the Samsung F3 500gb, faster than the cav black.

I'll have a look at that

I would get the Sapphire 5850 over the Powercolour as they have better RMA service and people say Powercolour use cheaper capacitors than other brands.

I've heard that but since they were the same price was being drawn in by the dirt 2 offer lol :p but as said above, warranty is the same

Got to admit i went I7 to AMD (965) and genuinly think i have a more stable "smoother" system.....

I would strongly reccomend the AMD option..

Agree on the F3, I have one and its a great drive...

Im an nvidia man so no comment on your graphics...

Bigger the watt's doesn't mean better they are. It's about the amps on the rails mate. But like I said, people give Corsair the best reccomendation when it comes to psu's, I do as my 850w hx is the best psu I have ever got.

Btw, Dirt 2 comes with the Sapphire 5850 :D They have better RMA service but still offer the same anout of Warrenty (2 years)
