BF2 server OCUK now up

Well guys, meet sum great people 2nite on server and vent. Really enjoyed and was great to see so many turn up... 32/32 woohoo!!!

Thanks again, see you all 2morrow nite 7 pm ;) Remember tho if i'm not on speak to Mattpithers (cockers1) or Diggs

We'll sort out the map rotation in work 2morrow i recon:

1) Karkand 32
2) Gulf of Oman 32 or 64 not sure?
3) Dalian Plant 64
4) Sharqi Peninsular
5) Highway Tampa

What SPF maps shall we add, Let me know what u want ;)

At last a bf2 server for ocuk :) So many hours, so much blood and sweat gone into this game lol So many idiots i've comes across and so annoyed i've not been an admin to press kick. I hope this server fills great and greatly I think it will. Its prob the only server for ocuk gamers. I tend to play mainly l4d2 with ocuk guys but thats getting a tad boring now. Or tf2. this server sounds good, i'll drop by when i get chance and hey bring on BC2 :D

I normal play cod4 , having installed bf2 a few weeks back I'am tempted to get into the game my ea name is siege2atlambton is that ok, also have steam name is siege2.

will get on tommorrow night if thats ok.

thank you for that mate, Thats really sound of you!

One thing more guys, myself and cockers (aka matt pithers) will be looking for is admin on the server, the good thing with BF2cc is we can montior every thing each admin does, so giving out admin will be easier, cos if you abuse it, it'll be taken straight off you ;)

IF you are interested, come on the vent server and have a chat with us so we can get to know you.

Also would be really handy for us if you guys joined the steam Battlefield steam group, this will be used for BF2 and BF:BC2:

Good to have a blast with some of you, been many moons since i played BF2 properly! Good fun! Still a damn hard game to master tho! :)
 
Jumped on earlier but didn't like the map, will return tomorrow though. I need to start getting pumped for BC2 :)

I've never used vent, what's it like?

Also a little concerned how my seriously aged comp (P4 2.8ghz) is going to cope with a 32 player server?

You'll be fine with that, i used to run a P4 with a X1300 radion gfx cards! 32 slot server will be fine mate!

PLEASENOTE I'VE ADDED HIGHWAY TAMPER TO THE MAP ROATION
 
It's more along the lines of internet performance than the system i think, and the server provides a very good ping, i was hitting 25-35 last night on a full server.

Wahey, glad you said that mate. I was looking at people's pings last nite, only 2 over 100 Average was between 25 and 45

The server is based in southhampton, my average ping is 15 - 20
 
Good to hear, I hoped it would be ok. It runs the single player stuff fine on 16 player maps but struggles with 32 player maps. I suppose having to do all the Ai etc for all the bots is probably hugely more taxing than playing on a server.

Are most people using voice coms?
 
Might turn up a little later (Usually on the BFG 64-man servers), but you seriously don't want me on VOIP :p

Got a very bad habit of swearing at idiots and smashing my fist on the desk :eek:

Yeah i have set up a OCUK vent channel due to our clan expanding into a box, thanks to them we have a spare 20 man vent server. Its easier being on vent imo because it doesn't matter who's side your on you can still speak to every1 and abuse them when you kill them haha! The details for vent are in this thread, we have about 7 on last nite which was a joy!

Also in game comms can only be accessed by joining a squad and for sum reason i cant get my VoIP to work grrrrr
