What was this old Amiga game called.....

There were a few good car games on the Amiga really. Badlands, Ivan Ironman Stewart off road, Lotus. Many of the driving games suffered with really bad FPS. Some of them must have been about 5fps. I remember there was a motorbike game called 'No 2nd prize' which ran quite well.

EDIT: oh and Nitro!! I loved that

Lotus Challenge is the best Amiga racer.

Yeh, I loved Lotus Turbo Challenge. Pure two player fun on the Amiga.

Something I really find disappointing is the lack of multi-player titles on the pc that get people around the same 'box'.

Once you learned how to set up your car, Indy 500 was compulsive. Honestly, it was SO good, even with that crappy oval track.

I remember this 3d motorbike game as well on the Amiga, and you had to use the mouse to steer; but the name eludes me... anyone know?

No Second Prize?

My fav motorbike game by far had to be Road Rash :D

You're wrong, it was this.

good game indianapolis,i spent hours on that messing with the crashes and camera views, surely a first,it was king of the speed ring until Geoff Crammonds Formula 1 GP toppled it,also stunt car racer was great also by Geoff Crammond(any one remember the REVS or The Sentinel),another great game for a blast was lotus turbo esprit challenge from gremiln(same makers as super cars)there was so much more originality around back in the 16 bit days compared to now, although the technology is better know, the originality of ideas isnot most of the time, some of these games would be awesome if they were remade with the latest technology(look at what they did with Metal Gear Solid, originally an 8bit MSX computer game from the mid 1980s)i think that is why people remember games from years back as the ideas were fresh and very new, some of the games were groundbreaking for there time and developers didnt care about taking risks as the games industry was still in its infancy:)

Super Offroad was pretty good

+2 for Gracity force and mavity force 2. Too many good amiga games to list

that was a great game super off road but it was originally made on the Coin-op(arcade) backin the days when arcades where alive and kicking and also were the breeding ground for the latest technology..if you wanted to play the best that games had to offer you had to go to the arcade, however the arcades nowadays are dead and empty and have no atmosphere like they used to have in the Golden age.Shame as the birth of more powerfull machines in the home killed of the arcades and ended the era where it all started:-(
No save games,no difficulty levels, just pure hardcore skills were needed to get the biggest scores and beat the game,i do think/ know that the big 3D games today are a lot easier to complete than the games that dominated the arcade arena..Shinobi anyone?
Long Live M.A.M.E

Team Suzuki?

Kick Off 2 was my fav Amiga game. Still is one of my favourite games.

This. Far better than the over-hyped Sensible Soccer!

Other Good Games:

Turrican 2 (Rainbow Arts games in general were very good, but this had the best original in game music I've heard)
Hunter (3d Sandbox game years before GTA3 anyone?)
Speedball 2
Gods
DynaBlaster (5 players on one Amiga with the parallel port adapter for 2 extra joysticks!)
R-Type
Z-Out
Gunship 2000
Knights of the Sky
F-19 Stealth Fighter
Batman
Monkey Island I & II
Jimmy White's Snooker

need i go on?! :D

Cannon Fodder
Mega-lo-mania
Xenon 2
Project X
Alien Breed
Jaguar XJ220
etc etc etc

SO so many great games on the Amiga, I really must dig my A1200 out of the cupboard it's been kept in at my parents house for many a year!!

Valve

The Amiga was amazing really - gave people a home computer and a games console in one... back in the day when a PC would set you back £1000+.
