**The Dragon Age Origins Thread **

The Heavy Dragon Plated armour looks good but it doesn't have an helmet. I tried a Dragon bone Executioner Helmet on and I think they go well together. What do you guys think.

The helmet as a +25 Stam bonus.

Its good , look at what happened with GTA they brought out the DLC way after release and there was no hype , the closer to release they bring out DLC the more sales they get
Indeed, but they were paid $50million to produce DLC's of such quality :)

I got this game the other week and only just went on it last night and I must say I have never looked forward to playing a game so much in years, pity I have deadlines to meet or I would be on this almost constantly :(

I'm having trouble adjusting to the combat system but it does seem good, the lack of queuing attacks and abilities is annoying I must say.

My best advice would be to concentrate on one enemy at a time - just get everyone piling on the whites first, then the yellows and finally whichever orange you are dealing with. I had a lot of problems with this section - but I wasn't really micro-managing my party - or defining their tactics properly. So yeah, concentrate on one at a time, starting with the weakest. That advice works just about anywhere :)

my character is a elf worrier

I'm sure he is ;)

As for your problem, if I remember correctly aren't you expected to use up the lyrium veins (well your mage) to stop Branka refuelling using them? Might help a little, but yes concentrate on the weaker enemies first - isolate or incapacitate the stronger ones until you're ready to move on to them.

Also, at the start of the fight run everyone off towards the anvil (not actually up the path though). That way I managed to split off the enemies so that I was only fighting Caridin and 2 golems rather than everyone at once. The other golems will kill Branka (but it's okay because she's knocked out rather than dead) then come after you, by which point I had already killed the ones I split off. That made it much easier for me. Also, frequent use of cone of cold really helps if you have that spell.

Yup your decision might pee people off, either way. Give a thought to who you have in your party and what their personality. One person can leave the party forever at that point.

I destroyed it, I don't remember why now, does it upset wynne? I used to really hate upsetting her. Excited for awakening!

I think it's more wether you join The Mad Bint or The Iron Man.

****SPOILERS****

Edit - On reading it's
Oghren dissaproves if you side with the stone dude and destroy the anvil. If you have him at a decent level, he wont leave outright, he'll just whinge at you.

Shale will leave outright and fight you with the other golems if you side with Branka the Weirdo and save the anvil.

I swear some people don't even try to understand the game and want everything spoon fed. The game TELLS YOU how to improve rating with members, beyond that you have to figure out what sort of replies they like.
