It's the chrome lip I really like about them, that and the chrome "buttons", think it's a nice contrast...

nah gonna keep it stock height which is quite low as it is, I just fancy a change of alloys, something different to the norm. I think I agree with the 19s being overkill, I like the fit of the 18s on it at the mo.

Wait, a bit OT, but didn't you decide to get the 325 and not the 330 because it was too expensive, yet you are willing to drop £2k on alloys?

well he can if he wants to spend 2-3k on wheels and tyres. dunno what his budget is? if he posted those FInichi ###### im doubting hes looking to blow 2.5k on rims? just a thought

Not because the 330 itself was too expensive, but because of insurance increase and I hadn't recieved my dividend then to be able to afford something too expensive, plus I found this really decent, well looked after 1 owner 325 so I though I'd snap it up.

I'm wishing now that I did get a 330 though but minor, a new car will be coming soon, end of this year maybe next...

Anyways, back to the alloys, I'm really feeling black/gun metal, I ddo like those BBSs, very nice set.

It's BBS or OEM IMO. Most other stuff lucks tacky. I think RIAL Daytonas might works, but fall into the BBS realm of cost.

Those RIAL Daytonas do look pretty nice, do they only come in chrome, can't see some of the links & pics which google brings up 'cause of the work filter.

OP how much u spending on these rims? u accounted for tyre costs?

I meant I'm not a fan of the all chrome wheels, I'm fancying black, and the small bits of chrome set it off quite nicely.

EDIT: I am really gearing towards those BBS CH's in black/anthracite, loud yet quite simple and different without being chavy...

Please do not ruin an E46 with awful tacky aftermarket rubbish.

Quality wheels or dont bother - so OEM stuff or if you fancy aftermarket something from the likes of BBS etc.

Don't make it yet another ruined E46. Please :(
 
I don't want poor quality alloys either, so what brand would you suggest make good quality alloys? I'm not really keen on any of the OEM styles (eg) I do like the previously mentioned BBS CH's, any other brands I should be looking at?
 
OZ are good too

and then there's the tuners: Hamann, Hartge, Breyton...
AC Schnitzer, although they can be a bit *****

have a look on here and see if there's anything that takes your fancy
 
Ideally around the 1.5k with tyres but if the right set are gonna cost me more I'm willing to go up to the 2k mark, is this reasonable you reckon? I don't really want to spend much more than that.

The ones in my OP were 1.3k inc tyres which i thought was reasonable... until they got shot down :(
