Apparently I've currently got Tessa Jowell as my local MP, if you want to find out there's a listing here and you can search by postcode.

I haven't looked into the parties policies in any great depth yet so my vote may be subject to change but I've gone with Liberal Democrats on the poll, they're not perfect by any stretch but they've got some decent policies and I can probably live with most of the rest. However I don't imagine they'll get enough seats to be anything other than part of a coalition.

I'm not 100% decided, but I put Conservative for the poll as they are the most likely choice, but my thoughts are:

Tories -- safest bet to oust Labour
Lib Dem's -- made some statements/policies I agree with, could replace tories as my vote,
UKIP -- Possibly, more of a 'protest' vote and again depends on policy, this is unlikely

Labour -- They've messed up this country time and time again, god no.
BNP -- Yay, lets vote for some racist scum.
Green -- Better than the Labour/BNP options, but I think not...

I'll vote for my rather good Lib Dem MP again as he's doing an alright job and seems to have some interest in his constituency as well. I suspect a vast number of people on here will utterly waste their votes by voting for parties that can't possibly win in their constituency.

Lib Dem's are in in Bristol, seem to be doing a good job, but would also vote for them anyway.

You're active considering both UKIP and the Lib Dems - occupying almost polar opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to some policy area (europe most obviously)??

Oh look, another poll on which party to vote for..............

Doesn't anyone understand that this is a conservative forum? :p

Thought that was a bit of a give away by now?

To be fair the Conservative and Lib Dem percentages are pretty similar to what most UK wide polls are currently showing.

I will probably vote liberal or abstain. In my constituency they amount to the same thing.

We have a very good Labour MP at the moment, however I can't support him without supporting the parliamentary Labour party who are quite clearly not able to effectively run a country.

Our most likely Conservative candidate is a bafoon, so probably won't get my vote.

If our current MP defected to the Liberals I'd vote for him and I could see him winning the seat in that situation.

This is one of the problems with our political system, who you want to see at the helm isn't always compatible with who you think will represent your local interests best.

Serious, vote for David Drew, he's a good MP who asks decent questions, got praise for his expenses claims and doesn't deserve to be tainted for simply being in a party.

Neil Carmichael on the other hand is a massive idiot. That said, he's going to win because Stroud is either Tory or Labour and the labour majority is razor thin. Nobody else wins there...

I never vote based on the party, I voted base on the MP. Otherwise you are likely to end up with someone who just tows the party line and does something stupid like votes for a war you don't want just because the party wants it.

If you live in my constituency (Ellesmere Port and Neston) you get Andrew Miller (Lab) who has consistently voted on party lines for pretty much all votes since he became MP in 1992. Nothing more than a party man and yet still has a 7,000 majority.

Conservative - How on earth anybody can consider voting for Labour baffles the hell out of me.

Maybe because the conservatives have yet to produce an economic policy which makes any sense and their line during the financial crisis was consistently at odds with what virtually every respected economist was suggesting. Thankfully I don't have to make the decision myself as the Lib Dems will likely win in my constituency but I don't think I could vote conservative based on the lack of detail and, in some cases, sanity in their policies.

I don't give a .......what some poll says when I lived as a kid on the outskirts of London 99% of the area was white, last time I visited it is now mainly Muslim. ...
Which bit of the "outskirts of London"?

I am amazed that so many "Whiteys" have embraced Islam ;)

When you say you "lived as a kid", was this because you were hanging out in playgrounds

Because labour did it all right, while we are still in a recession most of Europe has been out of it for 6months +

oh dear, BNP almost getting the same amount of votes as labour...

People on these forums are either trying to be funny or just ignorant.

They didn't do it badly, seeing as the rest of europe isn't populated by people stupid enough to run up such massive levels of consumer debt and don't have economies dominated by financial services...

Labour have a big share of the blame for getting us into the crisis, that is indisputable. I'm just saying the conservatives had no rational plans to get us out if you go by what they said at the time.

And Thatcher also did her bit by advocating Geckonomics

I'll vote for Norman Baker, because of his personal views rather than for any party political voting.

Info here - which is a great site by the way if you're trying to find out what your MP's been up to.

Its to do with the lack of manufacturing and being the financial capitol of the world. Blame the bankers for us still being in a recession.
