Favourite supermarket sandwich...?

Never bought a sandwich from a supermarket due to all of them having crap fillings and they always have mayo in, bought a few from butty shops/subway.

hardly ever buy them, but the best one I had was Marks and Spencer ham + mustard mayo. all the other ham + mustard mayo ones i've had since have been rank.

apart from that I used to get tescos plain cheese frm the 'just' range lol

yea takes 5 minutes to make some sandwhiches up and they taste so much better when you make therm your self with quality bread/buns and not cheap processed crap thats designed to last for weeks

That's almost true - apart from the fact that if someone else makes the sandwich it always tastes better than if you made it yourself

Used to love two from Boots many years ago but they've now ceased doing them, probably due to the Health Nazis, first was an Onion Bhaji wrap with Mango Chutney and mayo, absolutely gorgeous but about 1000 calories, I've tried to recreate it but never quite got it right.

The second was the Boots all day breakfast sandwich, which was sausage, bacon, egg mayo on bean bread. Mouth watering but about 1400 calories.

Nothing these days come close I'm afraid.

Best sandwiches I've had recently came from a small Italian deli in Bloomsbury. :)

Nice - I've come across some amazing Italian Deli's in town (London) by chance and had some mind blowing sandwiches too - and not mass produced and loaded with crap. Furthermore it's supporting local and small industries.

Aside from previous post I agree too, a decent deli will make the best sandwhich compared with supermarket sammichs.
