like the battered railtruck sunlitsix, like all the lines in the shot, rails, telegraph cables & the sides of the truck all seem to complement, may look good mono

Thanks. No filters on this one, just a long exposure, around 30 seconds if I remember correctly. No overhead lights on this stretch of motorway makes it fairly easy.

cheers olv i took a number of shots tring to balance the exposure between the sunset & the snow. That one was as good as i could get it. It made me think that its time to get some grads .Ive tried HDR but so far never been happy with the result.BTW like the gradient to the sky on your shot, did you use a polarizer

Hi,

Canon 30D, 50mm f/1.8 and a Manfrotto Tripod with Ball head.

Not 100% sure where the blue came from if Im honest, Will have to go back there and find out
