Audi R8 going cheap!

i don't think it looks all that bad tbh
looks better than old-shape TTs that were given a stupid A3 grille

I couldn't drive that for the reasons fox posted ^^

Its the same with those MR2's that are made to look like ferarri's

How could anyone drive that? Every time somebody commented on it you'd feel like a complete tool surely?
Exactly was I was thinking.

Only a like-minded simpleton with as many teeth as braincells could ever imagine that someone would actually want to buy a car, made to look like another car; badly.

Each to their own, but WTF??? It looks nothing like an R8. If you have that amount of cash to spend on a TT why not make it go and stop like an R8 instead of making it look stupid?!

The thing is, the best ones of those can be quite difficult to tell apart, especially to your average Joe. Whereas even people with just a passing interest in cars knows that the R8 is lower/flatter then the TT and simply has a different shape to it.

I wouldn't touch it, it's like a mutant, you can instantly tell it's a tt just purely through size and the bodykit is pretty half arsed.

It's not meant to be a replica R8, it's just taken styling cues from the R8 and applied them to a smaller similar Audi car.

The fact you can tell it's a TT is because it is a TT and it's not pretending to be anything else

I think some people are missing the point of this car a bit.

Perhaps you could explain the point a bit better then? - to my mind, it just looks like a poor R8 wannabie, which again, imo is pointless and merely sugests the owner has more money than taste nevermind sense.

i looked at it and i thought it wasn't an r8 before i even read it was a tt.

in what way is it an r8 going cheap? looks like a VERY poor imitation of a nice car to me.

Well it is very clearly not trying to be a replica so i'm confused by the 'but you can tell its not an R8' comments. That'd be because it's not trying to be an R8, obviously.

It's just a bodykit (from a company who make a fairly big range of VW, Audi and Porsche kits as it happens) that takes some of the more prominant styling cues from the R8 and applies them to the TT, such as the grills under the lights and so on.

It isn't a replica kit like the MR2>F355 kits at all, those are attempting to make an identical replica of another car, this is not, it's just a bodykit that is very clearly inspired by the R8, nothing more.

I don't see the problem, it's not pretending to be something it isn't, the numberplate even says TT on it and objectively to me looks nice, it's certainly not horrific looking.
