My mum died yesterday (10.01.10) of liver cancer. Cholangiocarcinoma is a very rare cancer that once you have the first symptoms it is already too late. There is no treatment or cure.
She fought for just two months and passed away peacefully at 5.42pm last night. Although being pronounced brain dead due to a stroke the night before, she opened her eyes and looked about peacefully before passing away. She was a strong Christian and believed Jesus would take her which I know she saw.
She was surrounded by people that loved her, but died alone with her brother. I had been with her all day and told her that I loved her and thanked her for being a wonderful mum and to rest now... that I was going out of the room for a few minutes and would be back very soon. 2 minutes later she died.
I love you mum and miss you and will look forward to seeing you soon.
