Islam4UK

He'll rename it to something else, then be back in the news planning something else controversial

To be perfectly honest if they had marched there would've been a queue 10 miles long waiting to get into Wootton Basset. Common sense has prevailed and heres yet another reason to lock the hateful scum up.. Hope he gets whats coming to him in jail

Don't think it will do anything but give them more ammo to be very honest, it was a silly move to ban the party which (at least as far as i can tell from their site) does not condone terrorism

Now the British government will be anti-islamic adding more fuel to the fire, although years down the line they might have become a legitimate political party like the BNP so maybe it was a kill it before it happens move?

Hmmm. I don't like the idea of banning stuff, I think the march should be banned because it is specifically done in a place to cause anger rather than gain interest for their cause.

but banning the whole group, yes they are a bunch of nutters but there always will be nutters, they will simply join the next gang of crazys.

We don't ban the BNP do we, despite them being slightly racist.

It's about time... finally someone has stepped in, the whole idea of thier march and thier group is ludicrous, does anyone think they had hoped for a peaceful protest really?

Point is (regardless of the undertones) on the face of it they aren't supporting terrorism, they were (from what i read on that site) highlighting the loss of life in the region. Ableit rather distastefully

The march should have been stopped yes (and it was) because of the potential violence it would cause

Banning the group is just plain stupid considering the other loonies which are tolerated

Agreed, many people disagreed with Mandatory National service in the recent poll on here yet I bet those same people agree with this banning, tbh I'm not sure if even the march should have been banned really, surely you should be allowed to march for any campaign regardless, stopping peaceful marches for the fear of violence is stupid, this is 'supposed' to be a civilized society, we should be tolerant of anybody's views regardless of how extreme they are, marches should go on and people that intervene with them violently should be punished.

Another nail in the coffin of freedom of protest/speech and a further abuse of terrrorism laws by the state.

I don't agree with where the group chose to protest but I would defend their right to do it.

I'm the other way round. I'd be happy for national service to come back but I strongly believe in freedom of speech. I don't believe they're a terrorist organisation either so there seems to be no legitimate reason to ban them. I disagree with their views but in mind they're no worse than the BNP or direct action environmental groups.

Marching through Wootton Bassett didn't seem the best of ideas but whilst we're (anyone, not just Muslim extremists) not allowed to protest at parliment I don't have a problem with it.

How is Islam4UK like the BNP?

I didn't know that was the case, that being said then I guess banning the protest wasn't so bad then, but still disagree with banning group though.
