**HTC HD2 Thread**

I saw that deal listed on coolsmartphone earlier, its a very good deal indeed.

I phoned Tmobile who i'm currently with as i'm due an upgrade and best deal they could offer was £41pm 18 month 1000 mins ul texts and internet with free phone, that comes in at £738. Basically the same deal as a new customer :(

Just spoke to CPW (O2) retentions and the best offer was £30 for handset, £30 per month over 24 months, 600 mins, 500 texts and unlimited data. Wasn't impressed and wasn't happy to find out their FUP is 500mb. Whether getting my PAC code and going with O2 direct will get me a better deal is questionable though. Not happy but will keep trying.

Hey

Apologies if this has already been posted, but there's a pretty sweet HD2 deal on Virgin Mobile (not sure whose network they use?).

Phone for £80, then £25pm 18mo contract, which gives you 500mins & "unlimited" texts and data (I'm sure there is a FUP).

Details here.

Hope that helps someone!

[edit] Plus you can use Quidco for £30 cashback! :D:D

Yes T mobile - Im on my 3rd days with Fing problems....

To your post - good deal - try mobilesdirect.co.uk.

That's a very good deal, I might be tempted to go for that! :)

£80 isn't bad at all when you get all that for £25. I pay £35 for the iPhone, getting less and I had to pay £170 for the iPhone!

Virgins FUP

7. Fair Usage: If your Contract Allowance provides unlimited data access within the UK this will be subject to a fair use limit of 3GB. If we think your use is excessive or that you are abusing the service we may ask you to moderate your usage and/or we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at the standard out of bundle data rate.

3Gb isnt bad for £25 a month. Also I belive that Virgin use the t-mobile network

Kimbie

Just read through their FUP. 3GB is for mobile broadband i.e. a 3G dongle. It is 1GB for unlimited mobile internet.

Ordered mine earlier, hopefully it will land tomorrow as planned. Don't forget you get 2 months free line rental if you're already a VM customer ;) (over the phone, you need your VM acc number)

Preferred to get that over the Quidco :)

Will 1GB/Month be enough for occasional browsing & email checking say 5 times a day? (the rest over wireless connection). Guessing it will be.

Yeah 1GB should be more than adequate. Most apps will only be a few MB anyway, and I can't see streaming media using GBs.

Besides, even if you downloaded 1.5GB, I doubt they'd come knocking down your doors. 2GB every month they might complain, but I doubt you need to worry about it.

Yeah think I am going to throw the £25 per month Virgin contract at CPW (O2) retentions and see what I can negotiate. Seems a good baseline to work from.

I forgot to say that you get 2 months free line rental if your an existing customer. Also free 3 months insurance too which you can of course cancel then its only £5.99 which I must say is cheaper than others and that includes accidental damage too.

Just curious on whether it comes with any form of branding or if it has the youtube app disabled as reported on the t-mobile handsets?.

Chris

Just got mine on t-mobile, Phone was £90, on a £15 p/m contract (100mins, unlimited txts, unlimited internet) i upgraded so got a rather nice deal lol. As you can tell im not a huge calls users lol.

First impressions of the phone is, its very responsive, been playing with it for a few hours now, and adding some of the graphical tweaks, and apps.

Very nice phone indeed, glad i went for it, even though i had to pay a one off fee for it.

Doesn't really matter as you can just download the generic rom from HTC and flash the phone easily enough. :)

I tried with O2 retentions direct & they couldn't get near it hence me ordering with Virgin

The Virgin 2G/3G coverage maps seems to indicate good coverage in my area so I think I will be asking for my PAC code tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know. Nice to see 12 and 18 month contracts out there...

Ive also just gone for the Vrgin deal.

Came across this one also which may be of interest to some of you...

http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/basket.a...=deal&giftid=0

Vodafone, 12 month contract, £40 pm, 300mins, Unlimited Texts, Unlimited Internet - handset price £37ish.

The best thing about it is £50 quidco is available as long as it actually tracks.

Had enough of Vodafones poor signal where I need it most though thats why I haven't taken it up.

Can you get rid of the bloated themes on this phone? e.g I would rather look out the window/around to see what the weathers like and the clock looks way over the top to me :(

Can it be cut down to be nice and clean or are you stuck with all the flashy stuff?
