Do you insult your mates?

A little off topic but:

I used to have a recording of a real fart for my answer phone message but then i was only 36 :D

Some would take offence but **** em.
 
always, but never to get one up on them - that really does my head in. Had a "mate" that did that and didnt know the boundaries.
 
I do but always make sure the joke is with them and not on them. Sometimes it goes too far like when my mate announced I was "coming out" on national radio!
 
Its just a natural thing :D

I have worked with a few foriegn people and its a bit awkred because you know they wont get you're only joking and dont mean it offensively. Really have to be careful with what you say :/

You can't do it with people you haven't known for long either it has to build up gradually over a space of time so they can understand your sense of humour otherwise its very awkred lol
 
Amongst some of my friends it's fairly normal to respond to a question, any sort of question, with "What did you call my mum?" in an angry tone.

This of course is replied to with a long and detailed explanation of exactly what you called the guy's mum. :)

Never to be done in front of their parents, of course. ;)
 
till about 2007 I never insulted anyone and was never insulted (that didn't lead up to me getting my head kicked in); I was a quiet and sensitive young boy.

Now though, I have found the terrible *TERRIBLE* insults my work mates (from the very bottom, right up to the director of operations for UK & Ireland!) have turned me into a man

The amount of confidence and character building it gives is unbelievable!

When it comes to my job - respect is given, quality is always to the highest standard. See as soon as the tasks are given, or if I'm just doing the usual the craic is mighty.

Slabberin is good fun and is part of the reason why I would hate to migrate to somewhere outside of the UK. It's also the reason I hate all this P.C. crap that I see in the newspapers etc. :(

Ok, looking at a lot of what you're posting as insults, I guess I do that a bit. I should clarify, "generic" non-personal insults, even if they use strong lanuage, I don't care about. Personal statements, say calling an overweight freind "fatty", I disapprove of.
 
I had to adjust myself with it due to my girlfriend. It's habbit for me to say something like "haha you ****" but I ended up saying it to her....trying to explain it didn't work.
