As title, Vista/Win7 32/64bit :)

These drivers are also AMD packaged, but do not support the 5970 (see below).

Thanks go to rflair for these :D

The 8.70 driver, was an internal build that should not have got out apparently.

MSI Release with 5970 support (same driver as above), Vista/Win7 32/64bit - XP 32bit.

Installing now..!

CCC is the same as 9.12 Hotfix.

Display driver and HDMi driver are newer.

No performance gains IMO (I was running 3.9 ghz with the 9.12s and 4.050ghz with the Beta 10.1s)

Not worth messing with IMO.. the bugs with my 5770 CF are still here (where one card stays in 3d clocks whilst at desktop)

I'm going back to Pre-9.12 Hotfix.

I'll wait for the official 10.1 drivers, though really I'm only interested in fixes for L4D2 and Anno 1404.

yeah think i'll wait aswell, officials should be out next week or two anyway.

TaKeN, did you find the extra couple of hidden folders in yours, once deleted that should sort that 3d issue out on the 9.12's, and think its only present in these if you didnt delete them files that get left behind by the hotfix 9.12's

i am using the 8.70 driver and its seems really good so far, better than the 9.12's and prefectly stable. i wont be trying these as the 8.70 are newer i think :D

Taken, can you run 3dmark06 succesfully?
My 5770 crossfire crashes on the second level thingy.

I left it running whilst I went to get my lunch, it was done when I got back without any errors. :)

It usualy throws up a message if it fails to run..

I've not heard about that to be honest mate, could you point me in the direction of those folders? or a guide etc?

Thanks :)

TaKeN, I'll try my best to explain, it seems long winded but isnt.
This is assuming your on window 7(shouldnt be much different for othere OS's)

(*) denotes, (these could allready be gone after unistall)

Fisrt unistall all ati through control panel as normal and reboot.

step 1, open a folder, hit organize, hit folder and search options, click view at the top, under Hidden files and folders, select the bottom one, show hidden files, folders, and drives, apply it, ok it, and close off your folders.

step 2, Go to, my computer, local disk (C), delete the ATI folder if theres one at top(*).
go to program files ,delete the two ati folders(*)
go back, then go to program files (86x) delete the ati technologies folder(*) go to common files and also check for more ati folders and delete them(*)
then go back twice so your back at local disc (C), go into the new folder, ProgramData and delete the ATI folder(*),
then go back once so your back in (C) drive, go into users folder and in here should be a folder with your name on it with a little padlock (you might have to give yourself permission) go in there then into AppData then local, then delete the ati folder, then go back and go into Roaming folder and delete ATI folder

phwew, i think thats it

when you guys update your drivers, what process do you go through pelase?

Install over the older ones.

Uninstalling the current ones just gives more room for annoying problems to appear.

This is how they're designed to be used anyway.

As far as im aware, they are the exact same drivers as the AMD set, just they support fewer cards, but they do support the 5970, which for some odd reason, the AMD ones don't. :)
