Have we any kleptomaniacs on the forum? Or do we have any people who collect items for personal enjoyment etc.

I don't really have a collection of anything past maybe 40 DVDs and possibly the 10 or so SNES games I rebought from having as a kid, but they're all just cartridge only, and in abundance throughout the second hand market.

One thing I'd love to collect though is NES games, quality boxed ones, here's to starting my own collection thus far:

Lacking...but a start. What about you lot?

I used to collect zippo lighters, had over 40 with various designs/artwork. Sold them a few years ago to help fund the purchase of a new monitor.

How many makes a collection?
I 'have' art by british graffiti artists - and aim to own more - don't know how much I need to call it a collection though!

Coins, most like ones from GB, but the type that have the different pictures on (like the £2 and 50p's)

Got about 50 quids worth in a money box, all different.

Stamps . I say collect, I've been signed up to it since I was like 4 and I just put every envelope into a box, don't bother doing anything with them or anything.

Not me personally, but my brother has around £5-600 worth of Star Wars figures up in the loft, I would get them down and take pictures.. Most of them are still boxed, but eh - I can't be bothered to get them down for the sake of a few pictures.

It's ridiculous how much of his hard earned cash he poured into it though. He set them up inside his wardrobe with the Rebels on one side and the Empire on the other, so it looked like they were facing each other off.

Of all the things to collect......typical.

I have quite a large collection of Anime and Manga including some rare out of print things, (e.g. a full set of Maison Ikkoku and some Japanese limited edition DVDs).

No pics, although there are some out of date ones somewhere in the Anime thread in the Music & Movies etc forum.

Collection is only limited by disposable income :)

Ritzenhoff beer glasses, a few swords (limited room for them though) and lots of shoes :p Oh and books, I have a lot of books my favourites being Michael Marshall Smith, Terry Pratchett, Robert Rankin, Anne Rice and a lot of non fiction history (mainly Christopher Hibbert and Antonia Fraser amongst others). Some pics of the glasses and swords:

I have nearly the whole set of Terry Pratchett books, some of which I have queued to have signed, but my main collection is lapel pins. Not only do I obtain them myself from visits, charities etc. but people get them for me when they go abroad or give their work related ones to me. My favourite at the moment is the one I got last year when we climbed 'Big Ben' and were given a commemorative gold plated pin.
