Let me put this out there. I LOVE the Alu keyboards, both in their small (wireless) and the big (wired) formats. I use both regularly, every day. I don't think I'll ever be able to type as fast on a different keyboard. They also LOOK amazing.

There is only one slight problem though, which I stumbled upon while talking to a friend of mine, and its a huge one too.

Mine have both bent.

They now have a very slight 'banana' shape to them. If this was only aesthetic, I wouldn't think twice about it but I now have a very annoying 'rattling' as I type. They (both) tilt oh so very slightly from one side to another while I type.

Has anyone else suffered this problem? It's such an annoying problem that I'm thinking about taking the (2 month old) wireless keyboard I have back to apple and asking them to replace it for me. I really don't want to have to buy a new one and the rattling is just too annoying not to notice or to be able to ignore it...

I've had a wired version for a couple of years, I'd agree a great keyboard. I've always been impressed at how sturdy they are though! Are you sure it isn't the desk? :P

If it's only 2 months old them by all means take it back, if anything it will be covered by normal warranty.

Do you have any pics? Has it 'bent' towards the ground?

not with my wireless either  is there any heat near the desk that the keyboard is on  could make the aluminium softer

how does the wireless one bend?????

Your desk must be bent, i mean the base is plastic, that is flat, it is flush against the front too !

So I come back to this thread with great sheepishness.

It's actually my desks fault. Its got a far more substantial banana shape than my keyboard(s). I can't believe I hadn't noticed it before, but my desk is quite low down...

... for the record though, my keyboards are slightly bent, but are fine on an actual flat surface.

lol :)

Just to (partly) prove you all wrong, I'm going to try and capture the bent keyboards on camera. They don't actually cause it to rock though, so all is well! :D
