Was browsing youtube and came across some old adverts I remember.

Remember the Charlie says adverts, and the green cross code ones, do you think if they repeated them these days would teach kids not to muck about on the roads, and not go off with strangers etc.

Mind you, felt sorry for that poor cat, he was drowned, burnt, frozen etc....

Happy days, a calculator cost £3'000 and was the size of a washing machine, I remember in the early 80's when sony released their walkman, for xmas I got a Tesco own make version, god it was like carrying around a video machine. Oh yeah we also had a betamax, remember going to the rental store and looking daggers at the vhs owners :/

I was always entertained by the contradiction in the adverts.

1st advert break - DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS!
2nd advert break had several kids talking to a muscular man in green tights about how to cross the road.

David Prowse has a lot to answer for. ;)

Goodies, goody goody yum yum!!!

Hey - I still watch them! :D
It's still really funny. Episode called South Africa shocked me initially - I then restarted it and laughed a lot. South African Tourist Board - Go up stairs and turn white. :D
