How often do you wash your jeans?

Here's an interesting thread that's worth a read. Jeans really shouldn't need washing every few wears, mine tend to get washed once a month or so and they certainly don't smell, and neither do I.

I wash my jeans after every wear. Same with everything else.

They feel loose and baggier when not washed. I prefer them post-wash when the denim feels harder.

Jeans were made to be worn for week or two before wash! Maybe three!

Unless of course their noticeably dirty, in that case they often get left on the floor untill washed.

Blerg I wouldn't want to wear something that I have worn for a week and not been washed. I only do that with my pjs cause I know I am getting a shower in the morning

3 Wears depending on which ones they are :


Work ones - at the end of the week.
Every day ones - wear for 2/3 days (in total not consecutive).
Good ones - Wear and then put away for next time, wear then wash.


Another question raise I must - do you wash inside-out or not?

2-3 wears, I spend a lot of time in pubs so I have to.

Jeans after a few wears, same with shorts. Tshirts, socks, boxers though one wear.

2 weeks is my maximum but its usually before then, if I go out in town and get them sweaty they'll be in the wash

Shorts/ trousers is more like 5 days.
Tshirts/ shirts 1-3 wears depending on the weather.
Socks/ boxers after a wear.

The exception is my landscaping clothes, a pair of jeans and a shirt, not been washed in about a month, but they're literally only worn when i'm grafting. Absolutely foul smelling by now but i'm working outside with my sweaty foul smelling mate so it doesn't matter to me, not like theres a boss to it to say "change your clothes" either, informal cash in hand stuff.

They don't NEED a wash I just feel the need to wash them as otherwise I will feel dirty. I only have three pairs of jeans anyways

I have some jeans that I have never, ever washed. I must have worn them hundreds of times. Every so often I will air them outside, and then they are fine for ages. I don't go playing in grease and mud, or sweat like a pig, so I don't have a problem
