Islam4UK

Great Britain - oh yes we need to get the good old days back where members of our population used to go to other countries to collect/appropriate/steal wealth to be distributed back home all the while subverting the local customs and religions with their own brand of righteousness. That was when we was Great was it not.

I'm saying everyone has a choice. When invited into someones house, ones guest doesn't start changing the furniture around or start telling the host how to run their house.

This example doesn't work though because you don't own the house, it's a shared house. Would you prevent new housemates in having any say in running a shared house you lived in?

Edited 2nd paragraph out - wrong thread!

Before you send them back, please, consider what you're doing to my Friday night :(

Further, I never thought I would see the day where I would actually agree with Burnsy and DD in this thread, but this day has arrived, for once they are actually making sense

Frankly I have never paid any attention at all to the ravings of Islam4UK - whose web-site seems to have disappeared :) - so I don't know what exactly they stand for. However, I suspect that they quite probably favour the introduction of Sharia Law in the UK and would I suspect like to see the entire population of Britain convert to Islam.

I am entirely opposed to either of these ideas as I would be with ANY other religion or religious law.

Having said that, it has always struck me that if a person TRULY believes in a religion as being the one true faith, he or she would almost certainly feel compelled to encourage everyone else to adopt their beliefs. I simply can't believe that any true believer would feel happy about standing idly by whilst non-believers were condemned to eternal damnation. By the same token, if you genuinely believe that your holy scriptures are the literal word of God, you simply can't "water them down" to make them more compatible with modern thinking.

Religion should be entirely disassociated from the Government or the Law; promotion of religion (including religious education in schools, advertising and religious programs on TV & radio) and all forms of proselyting should be made illegal.

Let these stupid superstitions from the Dark Ages wither and die and replace them with Humanism and Socialism.
