Relocating to bedford

Come to Milton Keynes, it's nice here ;)

I'm getting married next year in Clapham just outside Bedford. Maybe you can find a place there?

For the love of god.... Do not move to Luton, and for that matter Stevenage...

I've lived in MK, been to Luton a good few times, dated a girl from Bedford and currently live in Northampton and forced to live in MK two or three times a week because of the gf...

If I had to choose, then it'll be Wootton in Northampton... Its the better of all the surrounding towns.. Bedford is a total **** hole.. Just look around the villages etc.. You'll find somewhere.

I must admit, I don't mind MK too much, but I'd not move there...

Haha weird, that's my local. Tell me more...

My office used to be just outside Ampthill in Doolittle mill before they relocated us to Slough :( Every Friday we used to go for lunch, very nice grub. Now they've turn it into a restaurant.

I'm going to be controversial here:

Don't avoid Luton.

I'll expand on that a little. There are some great little villages not far from Bedford (Barton Le Clay being one place I'd quite like to live) but its not cheap either. If budget is an issue theres a couple of decent estates just as you come into Luton from the A6. A mate of mine lives on one and having been there a few times you wouldn't think its Luton - all 3 and 4 bed detached houses, reasonably new. According to him Luton is a hole in the ground, but he's not had any problems where he on the estate and he doesn't have any reason to venture into the rest of Luton. Don't know the name of the area, but if you look on google maps and follow the A6 into Luton its immediately to the west of the A6 as soon as you get into Luton.

Someone grab a fire extinguisher for me now please?

If you are willing to travel i visited a place called 'Idle' a while back, it seemed nice to me :)
It's on the outskirts of Bradford i believe , about 20-30 mins drive maybe

If you want a nice place to eat in slough,
there is a place called Al Fanous in the high street (opposite Nando's) they do very nice Lebanese food

Order a Shistawook, Grilled Chicken Burger or Shwarma you won't be dissapointed :)

They also do half a chicken and chips/rice for less than £5, you can't go wrong ^^

I'd agree with that, I've lived in Luton for a long time and that one the nicest parts of Luton.
