iLife 08 or 09..?

I know very little about the iLife suite and a colleague wants iPhoto mostly and it seems to be part n parcel of iLife.

looking at prices around the 08 version seems to be quite a bit cheaper than 09 but I wonder is 09 is significantly better to warrant the higher price?

I'd hold off until next week (27th) as there's a chance of iLife '10 being released.... but I wouldn't put money on it.

Had a play about with it in the apple store (GOD i want one) and it all seems so polished!

09 is lightyears ahead of 08, which was just a total shambles IMO. But as has been said, wait it out until the 27th and see whether Apple are revealing anything new.

I like 09 and have been using for seven months or so since i got my Macbook. Very impressed, all things considered.
