The NFL Playoffs Thread

I'm also going for Colts and Saints. Bush and Brees are coming back into form. They are unstoppable, but you never know with Favre in the opposition. Speaking of Favre, anyone think he will play on next year no matter what happens?

Hmm, I can see him returning just because he doesn't want to quit, and why should he when he's still playing at the highest level.

The only question I have is if he wins the big game, will he retire in order to go out on the ultimate high?

Excellent result! Vikings vs Saints is going to be awesome, both sides are on top form, could be very exciting.

I'd obviously love the Jets to be in the superbowl, they have beaten the Colts before after all! Not sure the Colts will let them off the hook so easily this time.

Colts vs Vikings superbowl I'm going for.

The Colts just have too much offence for the Jets I reckon. While it could be another low scoring game due to the Jets great defence I just don't think they have enough offence to win it. I actually think it was lucky for Indianapolis that the jets win as I'd take the bolts over the colts if it had gone that way.

As for the Vikings at the Aints (Falcons fan here). I just don't think the Saints will be able to slow down AP or Chester Taylor enough. I expect AP to have a huge day against the Saints. I also reckon that Dline of the Vikings is gonna terrorise Drew Brees all day.

Hopfully we can hold AP again this year like we did last year. I think we held him to like 30 something yards in our last match up last season.
1st in points scored, 1st in yardage, 4th in passing and 6th in rushing. It'll be a hard fort game but I can see us taking out the vikes.

Right, Im plumping for Saints to win comfortably and for the Colts to scrape by.

Come on Indy, please dont screw it up now! Been suffering all season with the P.O.S. that is being a liverpool fan, I could do with some good sporting news :D

/bump

even with reggie wayne on revis island all day, i think the colts will still win in the end.

The NFC game is much harder to call. Even with the front four of the vikings in Drew Brees' face all day, i think the saints can come up with enough big plays to win it. Should be a great game!

Agreed. I bet on the other rounds of the playoffs with varying success, but I know when a result has me beat. I just can't call this one. If I had to guess though it'd be Saints just because Vikings are always a lot better at home than on the road.

Wow, what a game! Neither team were playing up to their usual standard but it definitely made for a nail biting display! I'm still stoked from watching it :D

Oh, and I can't wait to watch the Superbowl from New Orleans on the 7th :D :D :D :D :D

So looks like its the Saints and the Colts in the superbowl final..not that i really care as i dont support any of the teams in there...but ill be going with the Saints to roll over the Colts....i do have a soft spot for the Saints...my 2nd fave team behind the Giants...who had a great start but lost far too many games costing them a place in the playoffs.

Glad that the Vikings are out...now is that muppet Favre going to retire for a 3rd time only to come back to another team and try and get to the superbowl next yr??...i mean if you retire then thats it...ya dont come back for more glory...but am happy that the Saints are in the superbowl rather than the Vikings.

Definitely will be watching this as i want the Saints to win it but i have a feeling that Manning and co will have something to say about that.

Bookies have the Colts as heavy favourites. Not quite sure I agree- put £40 on the Saints at 7/4 mainly because I like the odds, even if I do fancy the Colts to win a close one.

Also the money would soften the blow if the colts lost.
