Just so you know... if you used a picture of mine for example, I'd sue your ass, and win, easily.

Use an image from a royalty free site, and you'll be fine.

Your friend is on a slippery slope to a real wrist smacking and some serious financial penalties if he does that for a living!

Andy.

Well i have used a royalty free site now for the pics which BIGBC is putting on the banner and i think he meant he uses royalty free sites when he said he got them off the google.

give this a try -

You should start charging for this consultation work BIGBC!!!!!!! lol

Seriously though, it's interesting to see how this artwork etc is put together

scrolling slideshow can be achieved using flash animation / website coding which is hard to do

its easier to have it animated with hyperlinks on the graphic,

the website screenshot you posted isn't verry professional the text is verry overstretched personally i would make the text a little smaller width ways and add a graphic / logo. e.g. a house representing Home, mobile / phone representing contact and a ? at the side of "about us" or a note-pad.

good luck

I've gotta admit, you're going to end up with a very amateur looking site.

People trust proffessional looking sites. With no offence intended, yours will look like something thrown together in 1995. There's a reason web designs cost money, anyone can do it, but not that many people can do it well.

You can get a decent design for maybe £100 if you look in the right place. I don't think we're allowed to advertise ourselves or others on the forum, so I'll leave the searching to you, but there are plenty of freelance sites out there... just find a bored teenager - there's always a few looking for work, and they're fairly cheap since they have no overheads. It'll make a huge difference to you.

Well......We are not going to be doing an online shop or anything and the area where the shop is not very big and i would be suprised if we got many hits at all considering that a large amount of the people who buy pet supplies are old people and they would not be looking on the internet for us seeing as they come every week in person.........So this is just a bit of advertising and tbh i dont think that mine looks that bad :)

biz kid 09 thats looking better but with a propperly programmed website you get more hits ;) you could get better advertisement posting or giving out leaflets to your customers with the web address at the top and bottom of the leaflet :)

Looks like i ant allowed to say anything lol but i do web design for a living and have worked with some big company's in London as well as worked for a company who had people all over the word working for them as a designer. But if it's a home bizz you should try making your own there 10001 tutorials about and it's fun and html and css isn't hard or coding for a online store, there open source scripts for online shops.
