Rotty buys a big, gay hairdressers car ( proper pics 16/2 )

Holy crap, I didnt realise how bad TT's looked inside. It not even the blue seats that are bad, the dash is just awful. How could they make such a pretty car so ugly inside? Wheres the love for inner beauty? :(

Given it came out in 1998 the TT still looks fantastic both inside and out.

How many other cars introduced in 1998 can you polish, park on your drive, and have half the neighbours think looks really flash?

I can vouch for the blue seats i have them in my TT - they look really nice in the flesh, photo's don't do them justice.

Or think "I wonder if he'll let me borrow his GHD straighteners?"

Yes but that looks ok because it matches the body/dash/doors :)

How my miles? I'm guessing 70K for the price stated?

89k, full service history ( main dealer to 70k ) and then one done at an indy about 1k ago

the TT seems to be a car that racks the miles up, there are loads of huge mileage ones about

I quite like the seats :)

They'd go well with my sig :D

Liking the OcUK colour scheme that the car matches

I have partly purple seats, so on on that basis I'm going to become a fan of the coloured seats :p They do look nicer in the above pic too ^ ( if a little like BA seats )

I'm interested in one of these, what are the servicing costs like and is there anything I should be looking for mechanically at this age?

Cheers

dash board faults and knocking from suspension other than that just standard stuff

looking at the service book for the one we bought, looks like services are about every 17.5k miles

probably not that expensive if you don't use Audi dealerships though I haven't really looked into it

just read something that said the 180s are 5 speed and the 225s 6 speed, sure this one is 6 speed
