Anyone been able to run these on a Win 7 system - Just seems not to want to launch :(

ROFL, i am probably properly bad at this game. I've got it on easy mode, the one thing that just pure annoys me is that i can't zoom out and see where all my troops are, i have to use the mini-map which is a bit crap imo.

THe last few missions i have just been using every sqaud together as a sort of army :p Although i just did the defend carenten and it was well hard. I lost the town hall, i was pretty much relying on airstrike for the tanks :p

Pretty awesome game though!

I just installed The 2nd one and it broke my previous installs ---- ****ing annoying i assume ill be reinstalling over night

20 files failed to validate 2.2gb to replace them ... rofl steam fail... never had an issue like this before.

Carentan is easy you just have to be prepared. I did first time no issue back in the day. But I do remember one MG guy legging it halfway across the battlefield at the end with arty falling all around him not to mention lugging round a 30cal. :D

Just checking my game files now on my PC, but also having problem on laptop....

EDIT: Yep, 20 files failed on the PC, just checking the laptop now, hoping its the same and fixes my problem!

EDIT 2: Yep, fine on laptop now!

Grrr, it's always the same things they keep putting on these weekend specials. Why not something different like those still ridiculously overpriced games at £30 which in reality should be £10.
 
Dowloaded all 3. Once you've finished messing about over the installs, updates and files validation it's a very nice game.

Had some resolution issues but they seem to have sorted themselves with a Config file change.

I just jumped in straight to ToV. Am I missing anything by not playing the other two first?

Also, has anyone found a decent beginners/strategy guide? Ta.
 
What made me laugh is that this recent sale has seen the most online players looking for a ranked match in ages and ages, (and loads of noobs to play :p) so what happens?

The servers grind to a halt and I couldnt get a game! Hey ho :)
 
This is a brilliant game. I bought OF in the last sale. It was brilliant playing it online with a friend. Probably my favourite RTS of all time. I hope they make a new one sometime.

Got the Tales of Valor for 2.49 ( owned other 2 already)

Its a pity that relic login servers were falling over more often than a one legged man in an arse kicking contest , at the weekend
 
I've had this game for years, it's gotta be the best RTS going. For this money it's pretty incredible. I don't play online much anymore, the lag, dropouts & people with slow systems became to much to bear, but lan and comp stomps are still fantastic, i still struggle to beat expert.

If you can get an all uk game then it's excellent online.
 
can anyone tell me if there is a way to play as the germans in skirmish mode? i havent managed to find a way to do it
