I've recieved all my parts today and looked in the P6TD motherboard box and it only came with 2 SATA cables :rolleyes: and they are not long enough to reach my HDD and DVD RW.

I spent the best of £210 for this board and they skimp on the SATA cables. :mad:

FUMING!

I've had to order longer cables.
 
Hmmm, why is it that you only see negative comments about components after you have gone an ordered them? I've ordered the non deluxe and now I'm expecting just 1 sata cable and at half the length!
 
Well obviously if you can afford that kind of mobo cables shouldn't be a prob for you : ).
On the other hand it's funny because I got 4 sata cables with 35quid matx GA mobo and they're not short either.
 
The cables that come in the boxes are pretty long and should reach your hard drives without a problem.

Unlucky, to be fair, ive owned quite a few asus boards over the years and have never had any missing accessories, must have over 20 red asus sata cables in various drawers, though i do wish theyd do them in black.
 
Setter - The RoG boards from Maximus III onwards (Confirmed, perhaps slightly earlier) come with black SATA's - If you need a couple I'm happy to pop some in the post. :)

Because Overclockers don't allow you to criticize anything? Many people have tried, you can't post a review on the site less than four stars and if you take it to the forum it always miraculously disappears, or the poster gets banned.
 
My RIIE came with 6 cables, they're 45cm, and 3 of them have angled connectors on one end. They are unfortunately red though, which look at bit silly. :( (Any chance of a few please, -VK-? :D)

Will see what I can do, I've got quite a limited little stash of the black ones!
 
lol, you think a lack of cables and cable length is your only problem with the P6TD board? You can't use cables with clips which is pretty much all of em these days. Especially the black ones no doubt!
 
Heh, yes I do work for ASUS in the UK but I'm not customer services. :P

Happy to help out where I can of course, or to point you in the right direction.

The Sata cables with the clips (In my experience) you can take the clip off the top and it works just fine :)
