Yeah Ghosts n Goblins is awesome. Completed on the C64 but not the arcade machine. Time to fire up the emulator!

Very little audio in Hunter, but was a massive game area you could go exploring.

Also used to play this top down shooter, with a yin-yang symbol on it. Could never get past the first level (Was only like 5 or so). Then we had an asian exchange student, came back one night and he had completed the whole thing luls.

Poor writing, and referencing itself as a game too many times (I seem to recall) is what killed Monkey Island 4.

Grim Fandango was clever, witty, and different. Everything MI failed to be at the end.
