Battlefield BC2 looking dam sweet

I'll believe it when I play it. I remember CM saying a load of BS before Dragon Rising came out. It turned out to be the biggest pile of steaming crud, ever.
 
i dont know whether to pre-order from play or not, id like to play about with the beta, and since iv got the next 3months off it will occupy some of my time.. problem is iv only got my laptop with me, and its a 8600m GT inside it... so it definately wont be pretty, or smooth!
 
Does recommended mean, recommended for the highest settings? I've only got till thursday to find out I suppose, but I'm starting to worry about how my single 5770 is going to handle this :( I would be gutted if it turns out, as I am hoping, to be awesome only to find out my system can't run it very well.
 
Well I'm hoping it'll run acceptably (infact, fairly decently) on my 720BE and 4870. It's DX9-11 complient, so you would imagine it will scale fairly well. (Much finger crossing).

Moderately obscure connection, but the start of that SP video has put me in mind of a much more satisfying FarCry 2.
 
it will run fine on your two rigs but you might need to flip a few details down slightly.

remeber a ps3 runs it and that has a 7900gtx which isnt cutting edge or to great now. so id say anything above say 9800 , 8800 , ati 4850 and you should be fine . high clocked dual or a decent quad.
 
im also worried about a 3.2ghz Q6600 and a overclocked GTX 260.

I realy don't plan on changing GPU for another year i hope this is good for high settings at 1080p
