For games that can't be completed, question changes to 'Spend over 60 hours on..'

??

I reckon I'm around the 25% mark :( Which is terrible if you think about it -- the amount of levels, graphics, super-end-of-game baddies, weapons, I've PAID FOR but never even seen! Think I may put in a load of cheat codes for old games and just pan through them so at least I see the stuff!

Whats your % ?

I will approximate and claim about 8 or 9 out of every 10 I buy, I'm extremely selective about the games I buy and the timing between purchases. I think the only recent game not completed is Far Cry 2, was annoyed with the respawns even after the patch. Might go back to it if I can find a hack that eliminates the checkpoint respawns.

This is REALLY bad, but for me it probably around 10%. I have many of the best games of all time and I don't get a chance to play them. Of course this has something to do with the fact that I keep trying to complete most games on the very highest difficulty levels..............

Depends on the type of game...

First person shooters....100%

Anything else, i always hit a brick wall with the difficulty level, then i find my willingness to put in the required time and effort to progress is less than the desire to see the next level...so i move on.

A lot of the games i buy i never actually play.

I would guesstimate i complete (the main game, not that achievement rubbish) around 70/80% of the games i start. It's easy enough these days, games aren't that long and over the year there really aren't that many i'm interested in.

1/5 for me, nothing has got me addicted. The last game I was addicted to was Mass Effect so I completed it. That was a very long time ago! Still have to do Dragon Age and such.

95%. The last game i bought that i didn't complete was Mirrors Edge, which i will do in the future i'm sure, just not enough time at the moment.

the only games Ive completed are COD 4 and Medal of honor, I just bored to quick hence why I wait till the games I want get to like a fiver lol

O and Crysis which I though was brilliant imo apart from the bit when your floating around like an idiot lol

First person shooters, probably around 95%. Even if I'm finding it too hard, I'll godmode my way to the end :) The only exception is Bioshock - hated the feel of it and found it clunky and hardgoing.
Other games, less likely. RPGs are my least successful - I buy them because they get great reviews, then realise I just don't understand how to play them. Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 are mouldering in a cupboard with me never having played more than an hour of either. Even Deus Ex - never got inside the statue!

Hmm have noticed as the years go on less and less. I think it's because games start to get predictable now compared to you know - few years ago etc.

(last post as a Thug! Only took 5 years lol)

Currently working through this on Xbox as I never finished it, about half way through the 8th (2nd to last level) and am stuck. I know what to do it's just every time I do it I fall and die. I looked up a walkthrough this morning to see if I was doing it wrong but I'm not..

And in general probably finish about 25% of games I buy specifically, although much less percentage for games I own (ie got in packs). I always try shooters and stuff on the hardest difficulty and then get about 75% of the way through them and give up/something new catches my eye. There are some great games that I've never finished, including Half life 1 - although to be fair I get to a certain point every time and the game either crashes or I do something stupid like get to somewhere that I can't go back from and save, only to find that I forgot to do something important such as pull a lever.

As pat_c im selective about my games which helps this...but im guessing 99.99% of the games i buy i complete.

Can only think of 2 in the past 3 years that i didnt, cause i just didnt enjoy and sold.

Looking at my collection i have quite a few im yet to complete - but they are mostly from around christmas time onwards...backlog argh

Not sure of %, it can vary from year to year but a high amount I do complete, this I find satisfying. Though, as I am becoming older and fussier I tend to buy less often, when sufficiently reduced in price and even then I can be disappointed with my choice of purchase so they get sold or recycled. (Red Faction : Guerrilla, Alone in the Dark, Borderlands for example.)

99% of all fps's, im on my 4th go of half life 2 with the cinematic mod at the moment, Deus Ex was the very 1st game i completed on a pc followed by halflife.

I complete roughly 50% of the games i buy. The ones i dont complete tend to be very long games like rpgs, or games that get repetitive. Occasionally theres very good games that i find i just cant get into, and spend less than 2 hours or so on.
