i know what answer will be: a 1.8 mondeo lol.

bear with me:

budget Ford Galaxy (R Reg 2.3/147000 miles with 12 months MOT/10 months tax and 2 new tyres) and a very small amount of money to partex. possibly £100....

as i'm guessing galaxy is worth £1000 the budget is £1000.

she wants something smaller however my mums a snob and doesn't want something as small as a fiesta she would want something along the lines of a mondeo size but more importantly something thats cheap for parts (why i'm thinking mondeo or at a push she'd condier a focus) as the Galaxy is very expensive for parts.

£1k focus? Rather you than me.

I don't think there is anything worth changing to at this price point. You could walk straight into more bills than you can afford, given your cash budget is £100.

I'd hazard a guess that the cost of changing will outweigh the relatively high cost of parts for the Galaxy. Its got 12mths test, tax and 2 new tyres? I'd tell her to keep it and get the use from it,your going to end up with a snot box that will cost you money at this price range whatever it is imo.
