Battlefield BC2 looking dam sweet

Don't care what the developers say, it looks like its going to be another sloppy console port, maybe fifty patches down line it may resemble a PC game " more than likely as well going by Dice's past BF record " but at the moment it's embarrassing, yeah it's a beta but the games out in just over a week so get real.

FOV is way to small, you can thank the consoles for that.

Gameplay is poor compared to the likes of BF2, a five year old game.

GFX are poor for the performance you get, a game optimized for consoles but not for PC.

In a number of the files/binaries there are references to the PS3, say no more.

I will pass on this and live in hope that BF3 will be a dedicated PC exclusive.

Aha. While cacheing the installer, it was running out of diskspace even though I had 15 gigs free for some reason???? Cleared up space and it seems to be alright now!

right, 300mb left, im off to asda to kill some time.

Ordered my copy off play yesterday,no key when i got home so phoned `em up on their 0845 number and i got my key mailed to me while i was on the phone with them,so get back onto them and get ya key!

A couple of quick screenies. Im playing on medium settings on a E6320 @ 3.29 with a 4870 at 1920 x 1200.

Fps was uaualy 47.

Enjoying it so far, obviously its still beta so a lot of things will get fixed like the FOV which felt a bit weird. This could be the game to make me quit bf2 :eek:

I posted this on the official EA/DICE forums, and I've been there nearly 5 years, hope someone takes notice.

"It sorta suks...too laggy, graphics are poor - even for my 5970,console ports don't advantage of it, and powerful rig like mine - doubt I will buy it.

Hmm the game looks very foggy, not great for snipers, as anyone whos played BF2 should know!

4GB 1066Mhz RAM
4870 1GB

Get about 40/50 FPS, but drops down to as low as 20/25 in fire fights. And that's on low. Upgrade certainly needed.

ITS A BETA! You obvously didnt play BF2 on the open beta/demo before release, that took a few days/patches for it to be remotely playable. At least this IS playable.

and no bf3 wont be PC exclusive, that would be like falling on your own sword for game devs.

I've tried literally about 20 servers, every single 1 lags to hell, no matter what settings I use.

lol at people complaining about a beta. Just give dice feedback and hope they listen and change the things you dislike in the final game.

Battlefield 2 taught me what a PC graphics upgrade is like (Geforce 4 MX440 to a £40 9600pro, just so I could play the game)

I fear this one is gonna teach me how to spend over £200 on a graphics card, LOVE IT

Disappointing i guess we were all expecting too much, i found a lag free server but don't like it for some reason.
