yes u can. hit esc then click the bar along side the side of the team selection UI with "SQUAD SETUP" or some such. select a new or and existing squad
 
Big grin on my face over the poeple cancelling there pre-orders due to lagg, I wonder if these same people found MW2 any worse on the first night of the actuall full game release, oh well guess you can always keep playing MW2 :rolleyes:

I cant use the history option as I didnt manage to get into ONE server at all.

Join - kicked
cant join - full
connection error
and now CTD.

Its not really a beta when you have to buy the full game to access the BETA. its more like a demo with alpha functionality.

Its probably more to do with EA (idiots) rushing the dice development team, because EA only care about MONEY. And they get most of it.
 
managed to get mine to work by rebooting and opening the server browser on the right hand side, joined a game for 5 minutes or so then ctd again...

lag was baaaad but mainly due to the *****y server i was on, couldnt find one below 300 ping, still got 5 kills

Another annoying factor is the fact i cant bind my side mouse buttons to knife / sprint etc, though its just beta i suppose these will be ok for the full game :)
 
Nothing wrong graphically it looks sweet to me just needs some things fixing which they will, comparing cod to it is just daft you don't have destructible scenery in cod.

well I cancelled play.con because it's a little pricey, takes a week to get to my door and isn't the Limited Edition version.

I will re-order it, simply because there are no other FPS's out for 9 months that I'm interested in.

I'm not that impressed with it, seems clunky, lags, CTD, network timeouts.

The one time I got onto the server the map seems really small, like 1/3 the size of a good BF2 map.

I dunno just not excited by it, back to mw2 for me for a few days, Jesus did I just say that?
 
I can't believe people are cancelling there orders after playing this beta, this is one game mode lol, its designed to be like this small scale stuff other game modes will be different, am annoyed by it like others but they will fix the issues its a beta this is what its been release for, sheesh it took them a good 6-7 months after release to get bf2 in any decent playable state that was a mess on release.
