To those who dislike UK "immigrants"

My 5 yr old daughters 1st nativity was almost cancelled by the school governers due to pressure from the local council who insisted that they be 'sympathetic' to the Muslim community (note: They only stated Muslim, not any of the other numerous popular religeons).

Thankfully, the nativity went ahead because:

a) There is no Muslim community where I live
b) The majority of people are white/christian (all pupils were White/British)
c) What Muslims there are living here would not dream of being offended by a childs nativity, not the ones I have spoken to anyway. They are more likely to be insulted by the Nativity NOT going ahead!
d) The petition sent to the councillors refusing to vote them back in was however, sadly the only reason the nativity went ahead in the end.

I have no objection to anyone living in this country regardless of creed or colour aslong as they contribute to our society and live by our laws. Sadly, it's the shambolic system of dealing with immigration, benefits and to certain extents UK law that allow people to take advantage of this country, it's people and those that do contribute to it's society.

+1, totally agree, same at my childrens school, now they do crazy plays which have no meaning..

How much 'British' blood do I have to have to be British?

Will German or french blood dilute it to the point where I'm not?

What about African or indian?

Are there proportions I need to be aware of?

Or is it simply the good old fashioned 'one drop' rule which of course only applies if the skin colour is different?

Without meaning to hijack your point, I believe the thread is about UK and immigration, not racism. I do believe that there are many racists all over the world and they are of all races, religion and creed. But we should separate the issue here. How does immigration affect the UK?

Don't ask him unless you want a ridiculously out of touch response.

I hate how people say that what they say is their opinion and cannot be deemed wrong. You made an assertion which is incorrect for numerous reasons, whether you think it's an opinion is irrelevant.

To be honest im just amazed some people believe an opinion can be proven to be wrong? In that case i believe everything which you have an opinion on is wrong and therefore irrelevent :S. People have different opinions it seems your just narrow minded. But thats your opinion. My last words on this thread ive said my piece. Argue this point with yourself.

I suppose this member has a hidden agenda too? Or maybe he is simply telling the truth.

It's ironic ffs

Your posts over there is not ironic at all. I've read enough to realise now for a long time how you really are. How it must grate on you over here to be so fenced in and not give free reign to those true feelings :D

But please, carry one. Find us another good BNP biased Youtube video and perhaps a picture of a burka. You rock when it comes to proof.

I don't really understand his post, but from what I get he knows good Muslims, have a levelheaded approach when it comes to immigration and don't hate just for the sake of hating unlike some on here.

What gets to me is the (sometimes) baseless bashing going on towards immigrants while we're busy losing a whole generation into being useless dole tossing violent disrespectful scumbags. It might be an exaggeration but never before in my living history has so many people from this country wanted so much for nothing.

I'd rather there be more focus on fixing our own house first before blaming our guests (so to speak) for our problems.

Inappropriate immigration policies can have negative effects (and there is some evidence that we have let in too many people who do not have a net positive economic impact) on a variety of aspects.

However, good, appropriate immigration policies do not revolve around race, yet some will try to hide their racism behind an anti-immigration agenda to try and legitimise their position, hence why the two frequently end up interlinked. Dirtydog being a prime example.

An opinion can absolutely be wrong, if it is based on fallacy, contradicts available evidence or is simply unsupportable, then it is fairly easy to prove it wrong.

I believe the world to be flat is an opinion, and one that is easily demonstrated to be flawed.

You could always answer the questions put to you instead of sniping from the sidelines and ignoring them? If people keep getting your view wrong, or don't understand it, perhaps it is because you refuse to state it plainly and clearly.

If that were true, which it isn't, I wouldn't be opposed to mass immigration of whites from places like Eastern Europe, which I am.

That would depend on whether your opposition is entirely equal in any and all circumstances. Do I need to dig out some proof that you don't consider it to be so?

Actually, why not...

I especially like this one.

Here is what my position actually is:-

I want to limit non-white immigration
I don't respect a white woman's decision to have a non-white child
Non-whites have a right to exist but not in unlimited numbers in Britain.. That is utterly different from saying they do not have a right to exist.
